A good friend of mine just announced to me this morning his parents were in a severe car accident last night, his mother passed away in the early hours of the morning and his father is in intensive care. This had me thinking about the movie The bucket list, Things I'd like to do or "need" to accomplish before I leave this fairy tale.:(:foot:

Hopefully, with this thread I manage to drag some ppl into making a list of their own and sharring it with the rest of us.. so without any further delays, here's mine:

1. Build a house with my own two hands.
2. Climb to the summit of Mnt.Kilimanjaro
3. Participate in a dangerous hunt, preferably in the savana or grizzly territory.
4. Visit Lapland and witness the most beautiful Northern Light show.
5. Spend a day discovering new thrills, Bungy, Base jumping, sky diving.
6. Racing Jacques Villeneuve in a formula 1.
7. Help a complete stranger in a fashion never seen before.
8. Spend a month or more living primitively.
9. Forge a knife blade.
10. Spend a day in Amsterdam getting plastered.
11. Go shark diving.
13. Experience a level of adrenaline as seen in the movie "Crank".
14. Stop Smoking.
15. Confession

Hmmmm......

Walk my little girls down the isle.

Spend some quality time in alaska and hawaii, not vacation time, quality outdoor time.

End up on a decent chunk of land and hunt and grow my own food.

I guess I don't have really lofty goals.

Hey goals are goals.. lofty or not, in the end it's what makes you feel most appreciative of how you lived your life.

I'm a pretty young fella, and was cut from my youth at an early stage, I suppose to me the bucket list would be to fill a part of that gap.

Long ocean passage on a small yacht
Summit a decent mountain
Long walk, maybe all around Oz living off the land/sea as much as possible

All do-able in a few years really.

Maybe its time to get some perspective, after all, what are we alive for? Do we strive in our prime to allow for a slow comfortable death?

Deep :)

AHHH YOU POSTED THE BUCKET PIC BEFORE i EVEN OPENED THE THREAD!

You won't do #2 or #3 until you get through # 14 IME.

Number 6, good luck pal, get inline! Unless you're a trustafarian, you can ditch that.

The rest seem plausible, to use an oft herad MythBusters term; but not unless you have your health. Ditch the cancer sticks, save up the money you'd waste on 'em, and post the pictures of your adventures here.

Me, I'm just happy to have survived the Lyme Disease.:foot::eek:

Been there, done that, already lived a great life. Guess that's called foresight!:D:thumbup:

I have done everything I want to do.

I can die anytime happy.

I have no regrets.

Well, I don't know if I'd go quite that far, but I have done a lot (yes, including #6). I'd love to go into space some time. That's about all I can think of right now.

I don't want to do #6, but he can come waterfowl hunting in a kayak with me on Grassy Sound in 20 degree weather if it is on his list. (If it is on anyone elses list, let me know)

I don't smoke

I have done more "extreme sports" and "Adrenaline junkie" stuff than most.

Mountain Biked extensively

Ridden several Centuries on my road bike

Ridden motorcycles at 140 mph +

Spent plenty of time alone in the wilderness

Done SCUBA diving

Climbed the pyramids of the Sun and Moon

Been to Hawaii, Bahamas, Bermuda and a bunch of other places

Sailed a bit

Built my own bow from a tree that I cut down

Raised my Father as a Master Mason

Have nothing to confess (Not that I have not, or do not sin)

And most importantly, saved the life of a child and raised 2 honor students.

I am not looking to check out anytime soon by any means, but I am all good.

Hmm..

1) Have a kid

2) Get my Critical Care certification

3) Visit Alaska

4) Go on a feral hog hunt

Go to Siberia or India and radio-collar a tiger for conservation purposes.

Build a log home and live off the land.

Go for a ride in an F-15 Strike Eagle.

Go to Churchill and see some polar bears.

Restore my dream car and go for a long trip with it.

Watch my son grow up to a man.

That's about it.

president ebrmc: Would you check your visitor messages when convenient? We're trying to set up another Calif. gathering and would like to discuss your previous generous offer of a place to hold it.

cuphead: My apologies for the thread disruption!

Thanks,

^ Amen to that!

. . . of course travelling as well to Peru (Macchu Picchu), Bhutan, Morocco, Tuscany, Ireland, etc. if I ever win the lotto! LOL!

#1-Find and deserve the love of a good woman.--I've got that one out of the way. Now on with the rest of them!:D--KV
