i know all you knife nuts out there take your big fixed blades to the wilderness but to those of you who also carry a nice folder, which is it, post some pics, enough said.

These are the 2 folders that I usually have on myself when bush beating :D

By the grace of God, (up until now any ways) I'll always have a Sebenza in my pocket (either small or large Classic) and a SAK Ranger.

I only spend about 6-8hrs a week in the woods but Haven't been able to do without a seb since was blessed to save up and get one one about 5-6 years ago. It is the perfect folder for my needs. (Lord knows I went the gambit & tried a bunch of others - it's so cool when you find the one, and can kind of settle down contented. :) - at least for a little while anyways ;)

My Brother feels the same way about a CRKT I gave him a few years ago - just right for what he wants and really has no interest in looking elsewhere, but I digress..

The Seb is by far my go to knife for most whittling/food prep/etc.
It's just habit to reach for it first since I have it on me pretty much anytime I'm clothed.

It's kind of funny really, I reach for it as a first instict even when I'm carrying a fixed blade as well.

I like to trade a bunch but, if possible and never run into an emergency where I have to get rid of them all for $, I hope I can continue to keep one in the pocket. They have served me well in hunting/fishing/skinning/scaling and all the other fun stuff we get to do.

Good thread.

Just finished working on my Cara Cara tonight, a convex edge, and softened the jimping to maintain good traction without undue hand irritation.

Buck Alpha Dorado in 154CM. I love this little folder.

I also have one in 420HC as you can see here:

I have carried a AFCK benchmade for about 9years ats-34 blade easy to sharpen and corrosion resistant.

Great picture baldtaco!!!

I love my Sebbie, but for outdoors I usually take my "sebbie-economy" folder, the Ritter RSK-1...love the blade profile!

I also never head outdoors without my SAK Outrider.

One folder than I'm really warming too lately is the Emerson CQC-10...great profile for a folding bushblade:D

Emerson CQC-12 clipped my pocket.

Plus, an endless variety of multi-tools and a Fallkniven F1, S1, or A1 (depending on how light or heavy I am traveling) in my "kit".

I really consider the Emerson to be a self-defense knife....period! I don't use it for utility chores or anything like that. I always want it factory sharp and ready to go......

I like inexpensive sleepers. Spyderco Native, CRKT Prowler, Camillus Heat. The Heat gets the most pocket time in my off time, the Native gets the most at work.
