Your choice of Assault Weapon fer Bear?!?!?

Hey Munk, thanks for the .480 Ruger comments. I have a lot of interest in that caliber, but have not fired one. It does seem to be a well thought out cartridge from a practical standpoint instead of the "bigger, louder, most powerful" approach the S&W seems to be going for.
 
I'd own one now if it were not for all the khuks I got earlier this year.

It's fun, Bobwhite. It is on the right side of too much; I don't even think it hurts as much as a 240 gr 44, but that's just me.

It offers a substancial improvement over the 44 without the negatives of too much recoil and too heavy a gun. And there are six shots!

I think I'll just use those road blocker slugs in my rem 870.

I also have this 416 rigby... :cool:


..but it's only an action right now.. :grumpy:

I suffer from impulse buys quite often but this is my most expensive one yet! After reading about African hunting and stuff for several years, I finally flipped out and forked over a bunch of money for this CZ 550 magnum action. :footinmou
