Your choice of knife for $50 shipped

Well? What would be your choice for a new folder if you had $50, including shipping, to spend and why?
 
Delica 3 from New Graham, if they still have them in stock. Delica 4 otherwise. Awesome knife that is small enough to disappear in your pocket, but still cuts like a big knife. :thumbup:

Or what Steve said, though the thumb hole on the Native is somewhat covered by the scales, making the Delica easier to open.
 
this barlow made by tony ablett and available at www.littlemesters.com I have one and it is a fantastic knife especially considering that it is a custom knife and the action and blade steel is like nothing else that you can buy for the money.

Depends. If you are a fellow European for example, you'd better off with an Opinel or a SAK. If you live in the USA and the shipping is under $10, go with a Byrd, a Kershaw Storm, a BM Pika or Monocrome or just wait until the new Kershaw JYD comes out.
 
Tough call. Seems as we near 2007 that $50 doesn't even fill up my vehicle anymore but at least there are still some value finds in knives for under that.

Through mail order the Kershaw Scallion or Leek, or Spyderco Centofante 3 or 4 models or from Wal-Mart a Storm II or Vapor also by Kershaw, or a Spyderco Native in S30V. If not one of these I would probably opt for something like one of the other choices from Buck or Gerber in the case at Wal-Mart where shipping would not be an issue to add to the price.

I just ordered a Gray Endura Wave for $55 shipped with insurance. I suggest that whatever you get, make sure to get insurance. I just had my Manix stolen from someone at UPS.
 
My choice would be a Kershaw stainless Leek. $45 at most Wal-Marts. Actually I already have one of those so I guess my next choice is a Byrd G10 Cara Cara. Should be under $30 shipped! You could probably buy a G10 Cara Cara AND a Byrd Black Starling for under $50 shipped....

Thats right. I've got tactical purchasers syndrome. Years ago I would hang out here all the time and figure out what I needed to buy next.
Now Im partially cured. I'm not here all the time. I still love knives though I love motorcycles more and that is where my new geekiness lies.
I buy a knife every few months and I can afford it, so I'm in remission.

I would still love to find the perfect edc folder. It would be 100 bucks or so, s30v or geekier steel, 4 inch blade, slim, concealable, a superb slicer, ergo a thin blade (prying is for monkeys). G10 or micarta scales and would love my hand like no other.
Its a bit like the AFCK, well maybe a lot like it. Ive seen many close but obviously its elusive. I need a government grant to pursue this concept.
