Happy new years sirs and mams. What do you guys have planed for 2010? Where do you see your collections going? My first official purchas of 2010 is gonna be a paramilitary next week. This year i wanna get my first Chris Reeve and my first Strider, and then i wanna check out some customs.

I got the Chris Reeve Small Sebbies and a Mnandi and thyre great knives probably the best. Have some customs, semi customs and they're great also. I have gotten back into productions and just got my first traditional folder. So I could see getting more. I also have a Strider which is a good knife but I don't dig the Customer Service so far.

Just got my para this past week along with the Spyderco Lava and BM Nagar. very nice knives, your gonna love the Para!

Various new and limited versions of the Spyderco Military and Para-military are at the top of my list at the moment. Also wanting to order a Landi MPX

With all I've bought lately in discontinued Spydercos, I will slow down the first half of the year and maybe pick up a couple of limited Spydercos. Then probably pick more up at the last of the year.

probably nothing at all for the next year as im in college now. maybe an ril military, but probably not

I plan on getting some spydies soon, hopefully mostly from trades, but nothing too expensive this year...

planning on ordering a CS Recon Tanto inside the next week or so.

i'd like to also get a RAT Izula and, if i can justify a need* for it, i wouldn't mind one of CS's Natchez Bowie's or possibly a laminated steel blade Tanto.

*i rekon i'll "need" that bowie for Pig hunting!

I'm going to focus more on custom (folding)knives this year.There's a couple of more CRK's I want to get too,like a Mnandi & a large 21 w/inlays & (maybe)damascus.

I plan to buy less this year... I really have enough knives! Even so:

Already certain:
- The Lion Steel MCKF SR-1 is on pre-order
- The Boker Jetstream 140-year anniversary model is on (pre?)-order
- The superbly elegant backlock Rough Rider 078 is on order. It looks a bit like the G. Sakai TA103.
- a very elegant Belgian custom is on order - I will post pictures eventually
- a limited Opinel "Old School" layered #8 model is on order
- The Boker Plus Exskelibur 2 is on order - I already love the bigger Exskelibur 1.

Probably/Perhaps:
- I am curious if/when Spyderco will release the C22 Walker sprint run. I might well order this one.
- Probably a yellow Spyderco Pacific or Atlantic Salt - I was quite frustrated when the VG10 blade of my holiday EDC Centofante 3 developed some rust stains during a holiday near the Spanish coast, hence a Salt should be part of my next holiday.
- Perhaps the Perceval L10. Really a lovely thing.
- Perhaps a new design by Gerry McGinnis for CRKT. His Summa is really lovely, one of my 2009 discoveries.
- I like the sturdy Boker Titan-series folders. Perhaps a "Titan Defender Lightweight" or a "Titan Worker" could tempt me
- Pohl Force Bravo One when it will be released. His beastly big Alpha One was one of the most interesting 2009 releases in my opinion, and the more EDC-able Bravo One should be worth investigating. I haven't seen it yet though.

Kershaw volt is the only thing i can see right now,i otherwise have everything i want, unless something cool pops up....

Probably a Umnumzaan and I am on the list for a Burchtree Bamboo, should get made in July.

This year I'm going to (try) to only get maybe one or two knives.

They'll probably be an emersom la griffe and one of the RAT survival blades, though I haven't decided which yet. My collection is sorely lacking in the fixed blade department :P.

No real plans here. Will continue to troll (in the fishing sense) for old Schrades, especially LB7s, cheap Buck 110s, and user Case slipjoints.

Could see myself getting another Bushwhacker Mistress, though thats up in the air.

Will keep an eye on whatever comes down the hill from Spyderco.

And I'm on the list for a G10 Military.

What I really need is a Sears tool box or similar for storage.

I'm buying some land, so I see very little buying in my future, with the exception of the Ti Military and the G10/Ti Military I have already committed to. I will probably be selling some knives and trading some others, but most of my disposable income for outright purchases will be committed in a week or two.

Hello to all! Newbie here on the forum, but after reading the forums for a week or so my collection wants in the new year has grown exponentially! I recently got into knives with the purchase of an automatic Gerber 06 drop point. I have been thoroughly impressed with the quality and finally realized what a nicer product a higher end knife is, plus after seeing all of your incredible collections I've built quite a "must have" list for 2010. You fellas have some ridiculously great knives!

My immediate purchases will be:
Emerson Mini-Commander
Zero Tolerance 0350
new auto Gerber DMF (coming out next month, pretty cool if you haven't seen it yet)
http://www.gerbergear.com/index.php/product/id/432
Rat 3 or Ka-Bar Becker Necker

Anyways, I apologize for the long lead in but thanks for letting me participate, I look forward to being a part of the forum and learning as much as possible. Hope you won't get sick of the questions, I've got a serious list brewing.

Happy new year to all
Max

Last year was the year of Spyderco and Benchmade.

This year: RAT, CRK, Strider, Emerson, ZT and customs like Ansos, Lamberts, Burkes, Wilkins, Carrillos, and Galyeans.
