Your collection in the new year

I am only planning on getting the knives I have on order, and possibly, a Strider SnG CC and a Dog Paws PT, maybe.

My first knife of 2010 will be a Peter Carey Rubicon, with Timascus scales, clip & thumb studs, with double bolsters of CF.

Some trads, possibly a Laguiole. Another M1 or two from Combative Edge. Maybe some more balisongs.

I'll get rid of my cheaper knives and knives I don't use or like via gifting and give aways.

I'll get fewer knives with good steel. Few Spydies with VG-10. Some traditional patterns with Wharncliffe blades. And get my frist TiNi coated Rainbow knife.

I invest now more in knives with better blade steel like VG-10, S30V, ZDP-189 (traditional slipjoints andf vics excluded, Chrome Vanidium and such pretty good for them)

And 2010 is year of my first custom.

Last and year and the year before was the year for Spydercos and Benchmades, respectively. This year its time to venture further into CRK and customs folders from people like Kirby Lambert, Todd Begg, Tom Mayo, etc. I haven't written off productions just yet - I'm still waiting for the Ti Millie to hit the steets along with a Zero Tolerance 0300 in the mail currently...

What I really need is a Sears tool box or similar for storage.

Amen to that. I want something a bit smaller than the roll around cabinet you may need and perhaps made of some nice wood to store/display my knives.

Hello to all! Newbie here on the forum, but after reading the forums for a week or so my collection wants in the new year has grown exponentially! I recently got into knives with the purchase of an automatic Gerber 06 drop point. I have been thoroughly impressed with the quality and finally realized what a nicer product a higher end knife is, plus after seeing all of your incredible collections I've built quite a "must have" list for 2010. You fellas have some ridiculously great knives!

My immediate purchases will be:
Emerson Mini-Commander
Zero Tolerance 0350
new auto Gerber DMF (coming out next month, pretty cool if you haven't seen it yet)
http://www.gerbergear.com/index.php/product/id/432
Rat 3 or Ka-Bar Becker Necker

Anyways, I apologize for the long lead in but thanks for letting me participate, I look forward to being a part of the forum and learning as much as possible. Hope you won't get sick of the questions, I've got a serious list brewing.

Happy new year to all
Max

Welcome to Blade Forums, Max! :)

ZT 0500 Mudd, Emerson, Strider, BM Torrent, maybe a Spyderco or two as my two have seen 20 years of service.

Hoping to get my first Sebenza soon, and really interested in the Izula folder. I wanna go for quality over quantity in 2010.
