Your dream knife?

Any Emerson with a conventionally ground blade. No blade coatings; just a nice Benchmade type finish. Oh yah, in the Benchmade price range would be even better.

Grind. - flat
Handle Material/frame. - Titanium
Locking system. - frame lock
Clip format. - tip up

My dream folder:

1095 carbon steel.
2.5 inch blade.
Titanium framelock.

Simple. and already made by Michael Burch. :D

My dream folder would be either a full size Spyderco Persian(C83) or a large Sebenza.

Dream FB would be any Busse,with Bark River being at a close second.Both with 5"-7" blades.

Spyderco paramilitary or Microtech mini Socom Elite with:
IKBS
axis lock
convex ground
tan g-10 scales
4-way titanium clip

Kirby Lambert Whar:
3" blade ground the way it already is but with a convex edge
Left handed Titanium frame lock with gouge-grip
IKBS
Titanium back spacer and left side tip up pocket clip

THis is pretty much my dream knife as well, although I would be just as happy with VG-10 as the blade steel. I would like the clip to be a low rider as well.

This wonderful picture just makes me sad, since I know that nobody makes one just like it. Oh, and throw in the ability to buy a fully serrated version as well.

I would very much like a custom Emerson CQC8.

There are days when I would be willing to trade all my folders for this knife.

Like today, for example.

Any takers? :)

Pick a:

Blade style: 3" Leaf-shaped with finger choil, polished finish.
Steel: S30V.
Grind: Flat
Handle Material/frame: Grip-textured Carbon Fiber w/Skeletonized steel liners. Blade or handle feature integral guard,
Locking system: Axis Lock.
Clip format: Tip-up, Low-ride Spyderco wire clip style.
Misc features: True glass breaker, as in a carbide, recessed into the pommel enough to avoid hand poke/pocket ripping.
Application: EDC/Utility

Hmm. I guess I'm going to have to get around to getting the CF/ZDP Caly 3!

Blade style = MSC SnG spearpoint.
Steel = NiTiNOL with tiger-stripes.
Grind = SnG.
Handle Material/frame = G10(standard) & Ti(flame).
Locking system = Frame-lock with hinderer.
Clip format = SnG.
Misc features = Not needed.
Application = Hunting, skinning & boning-out deer.

I guess in a folder, some type of a more stainless hard steel, like BG-42 or S30V, although Damascus is functional and easy on the eyses, would be nice - lockback - 3.5+" blade. Got it covered - Custom Shop 110s!

Now - a fixed blade. I like a 4"-5" blade - a good carbon steel and decent sheath, too. It needs a finger guard, decent choil - enough blade thickness to be 'stout' (Maybe not Busse stout... field dressing a Mack truck isn't always a need!). I have a Bark River Gameskeeper and a Boone that vie for that title:

I guess I agree with the lines of a Sheryl Crow song, "It's not having what you want, but wanting what you have...".

Stainz

PS I still would like a Busse Combat knife... you just never know when you'll need that ability!
