Your EDC/knife drawer WITH PICS

Handcrafted hardwood cabinets lined with exotic animal pelts are fine and dandy, but some of us just pile up our hoard all over the basement.

I feel like there is a coin-slot, joystick and crane missing from this photo. :)

Sorry the lighting wasn't very good this morning, so the pics didn't turn out that great, but I just snapped a couple pics of my knife case....

My wife actually bought me this as a gift. The idea being that it can be locked closed now that we have small children around:

I also keep a couple little organizers on my computer desk near the front entry to my house. I usually throw my most used EDC's here so I can grab what I want on my way out the door..... or just to play with while I'm on the computer. :)

whats that under the mat with the knives on it and to the left of the wood handled thing?

I love this thread :D Now I have something I can aspire too (Powernoodle...Dayum!)

BTW, Here's my extremely humble collection...

I like the black pouches, where can I find them, are they supplied with the knife that it houses? ...Isn't it inconvenient not being able to see them?

Some of them came with a pouch. Some of the pouches I bought at a show for a good price. Most of them are from a seller on EBay. There is a white printed graphic on them, but they are good for storage and the price is right. When I want to take multiple knives with me somewhere I have a custom carry bag that holds 22 folders, 10 large and 12 small. When I want to take even more with me I have a couple faux fur lined canvas carriers that will hold 12 knives each. As far as being inconvient by not being able to see them, I know what is in every one of those pouches without having to open them up to look.

Since all of my knives are users, they are spread out all over my place in different spots where I might need them, as well as in vehicles, at work, etc. Well, that is, until I just traded for a bazillion new Kershaws! :P

My previous computer has scads of photo's still on it's hard drive - including those of my 'display case'. I'll try to describe them!

My wife collects 'Harmony Kingdom' collectibles. Over the years, as her collection grew, we needed larger display cases. Her needs were satiated by surplus smaller display cases from 'collectible/gift' stores as they changed lines. Eventually, she acquired the larger floor mounted cases, branded for her collections, from the stores as they failed due to the poor economy. I got the cases she outgrew.

One is hex sided glass - with two glass shelves, a mirrored bottom shelf, a waist height wood base with a door keyed like the glass case, and quartz halogen lights. It contains my folders - many on acrylic knife stands - with the boxes stored in the base. The other rests on an oak computer desk, as it is wider - and hex-glass sided, too. Coming from the same shop, it is keyed like the other case, too. It has two wider glass shelves, a mirrored bottom shelf, and is quartz-halogen bulb lit, too. I paid less than a $100 for both - and generally, you have to 'act fast' - most collectible/gift stores don't have much storage room in the back - and have to get rid of the cases labelled for lines they no longer carry. Check even locally owned Hallmark stores. I even have a few large horizontal display cases from a closed drug & variety store - lit by fluorescent lamps and 4, 5 & 6 ft in length - cheap, by the pound, but a bear to move. My model trains are displayed in them.

1920's era machinist tool chest. It has served perfectly for my knife storage. And, the best feature, plenty of room to grow. That was a big selling point. What do you guys think?

I am so glad I don't have as many knives as a few of you guys do. If I did, I wouldn't get nothing done and I would go crazy trying to figure out which one to carry. I would have knives in every pocket, on my belt, in my shoes and where ever else I could find a spot. It would be the worst kind of torture, they would have to commit me....

Hmmm, sorry I'm not sure which knife you mean? Which pic are you looking at?

I think he thinks your Waki isn't as big as it is and is mistaking the kydex sheath for a mat and the wood handled thing would be that beautiful looking hawk you have. Maybe? Is that a swamp rat rodent waki?

Beautiful case for your collection, I was wondering what the two leather handled fixed blades you have on the top of the case are?

Loving this threads ability to make my collection look tiny!
