Hi guys,

I am new to the Spyderco range, and have recently seen the Cara Cara that a friend bought from Spyderco's sister company Byrd... I love the look and feel of the knife, and it was so cheap!

I am a sucker for S30V, and almost bought another brand S30V folder for nearly £200, then I saw some of the S30V models that Spyderco produce, and I'm hooked...

I would like to know, which models people here find the most use from, and any comments on the blade size and cutting ability would be great...

Thanks very much

Alex

Hey Alex

Fellow Hampshire UK man here too!

I love my Native which is S30V and it gets regular pocket time.

S30V Spy:
Tough call between the Paramilitary and Manix blade.
If you throw in the complete knife I go with the Para because of the compression lock and thin handles.

Thanks guys!!! Nice fast responses... and the para mili did take my eye on a few sites...

Hey Maverick4546, small world!!!! :)

I shall be buying the straight edge para at the end of the month then... nice :D

Cheers guys, thanks for your opinions

Dodo, Lil Temperance for me. Too bad, both of them discontinued.

Spyderco Military. It's the only S30V Spyderco I have and I don't need or want another, unless of course it's another Military to back-up this one.

Military is my favorite S30V blade. I don't feel the urge to try other steels in this design.

I like all my s30v, the Para Military, Yojimbo, Dodo, Lil Temp, and Native!

For general purpose, I'd say the Para, Lil Temp and Native are good buys.:)

The native is perfect for EDC along with the UKPK.
The para military would be great for camping and general outdoor use.

Thanks again for all your input guys... I think that I'll get the Para milli and the UKPK... ;)

I nearly went for the military, but its just a little too big I think, and I'll get more ED use from something a little smaller like the para...

Maverick, I believe I've seen the UKPK for about $100 in the States :)
