Your favorite 4.5"-6" scandi blades?

There is one I forgot: the Mora Pathfinder. Ironically not carried by Canterbury anymore since he started in-house knife production, but Baryonyx still carries it.

I like scandis and carry them more than any other knife (especially my LT Wright Lagom, Andaltool, and Mora Companion). I find them great for everything from processing wood for fires (with a saw or axe), food prep, camp projects, and even cleaning game/fish.

Problem is, they're all about the same length--roughly 3.5 inches to 4 inches. I'd like to find a scandi that's a bit larger, in the neighborhood of 4.5 to 6 inches. What have you used, what would you recommend I look at, and why?

At the moment I'm a bit torn between something like the LT Wright Genesis or sizing up to the Gen 5 or Illuminous 5. Potentially even the Gen 6. My goal is to have something with a bit more power and a longer straight edge BUT I'm not personally a fan of the "sharpened prybar" school of knives (I respect their place...they just don't fit my use).

Thanks for jumping in with your favs and suggestions.

Edit: I like A2 quite a bit, possibly even more than supersteels that are also in my collection, but I'm not particularly hung up on a specific steel.
Bit pricier compared to regular Moras, but I love the Bushcraft black for everyday stuff. Super comfortable handle. The Kansbol is a close second.

Do you have experience with this knife if I may ask? Looks like an attractive design, but I dunno if I’ll pick it over a Becker or even a Cold Steel SRK. Wouldn’t the added blade length just make it a tad more cumbersome compared to a Mora companion?

Actually I don't. Recall when it came out, effectively a Leuku in Puukko form. Most people thought the Bushcraft Black was the end-all, be-all, and even for Canterbury, how he accepted the BB for his survival classes despite its lack of full tang and substandard blade length. Most people but Canterbury saw it as a clunky answer to a question no one was asking. I just find it ironic Canterbury now sells the BB but not the Pathfinder.

I'd also check out the Kauhavan Puukkopaja #608 with a 4.9" blade. Reasonably priced large puukko, assuming you want to stay with a true "puukko" design. At that blade size and above, Leuku designs start to become more common.

Shosui Takeda (Japan) puts an awesome scandi-vex (not his term) with no secondary on his utility/hunting knives.

I’ve purchased two so far (my son claimed this first one in the video as a Christmas present a few years ago) and it carved so nicely I decided to find another one.

The Aogami Super Blue blade is thin and hard (~63hrc) but still flexes and resists chipping even when using the tip to carve hard seasoned oak. You can see how clean the cuts are by the shine left behind (this spoon is basically finished at the end of the video - it’s got a carved finish) and hear the edge working hard in the video below:

OP, if this is still an open question for you, an update: you had mentioned you were considering the LTWK Illuminous 5. I purchased one recently. I cant comment on performance yet, as we are still locked in deep winter where I live. I can say that it is a beautifully crafted knife, with superb attention to detail. One word of caution: it is definitely a knife best suited for XL hands, which I have (I can’t comfortably hold an ESEE4, for example). I think the handle is too long and beefy for anyone with L or smaller hands. Just my .02
