  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Your favorite AXIS lock knife

My favorite is the discontinued 770 Gent's Penknife. Mine is one of the carbon fiber versions and it is just gorgeous for its purpose. My next favorite is the Switchback.

710, of course, and then close behind is the 525. Don't really like the Grips very much.
Have a 520 and a 730 on the way, though, so we'll see what happens. :D

Mine is the 942 osborne. I think that the knife is the perfect size for EDC. It is not to big to be uncomfortable in jeans pockets or to bulky. Yet it is large enough for any cutting tasks I have ever needed it for. I have just started carrying a 710 and so far it has not changed my mind on the 942.

My favorite (and, so far, only) benchmade is the 943. I am thinking about getting a 710 though...

I was really impressed by the quality and balance of the 943. The only thing that I noticed was that the finish was not quite as durable as on my microtech, but I was kind of abusing the finish (popping open a bottle using the end of the knife scratched the finish on the 943, but not on the MT)

I had a 710 and liked it but I think I prefer my 520. My overall favorite though is the 556. I EDC either the 520 (plain edge, 154CM) or the 556 (plain edge, D2).

I wouldn't mind having one or two others but these get it done for me.

Never any doubt in my mind when I saw this question posed..................the BM 610 Rukus, all the way!:D :D :D

My favorite is my 722 plain edge that has been reground into a drop point. It fills that gap between the too small 705 and the too big 710.

I didn't have any axis lock BM's (only a mini-skirmish) and realized that I needed to close this gaping hole in my repertiore. After taking a lot of input on this forum, I went with the Heckler & Koch 34. I don't see much buzz about it in general, but it's a superb knife.

I have a carbon fiber Ares (and a carbon fiber 940). I have a 710HS, a 705, a 921, a 770D2, a 720, and a 556. I currently have the passaround Rukus (which I need to get in the mail, I'm bad.) I've owned - well, I've owned most of them, if you don't love 'em they make good trade bait. :D

The 770 is my gents knife. I love the Ares, and the 710.

But the one I picked up on a lark, the one that actually is sitting next to my keys and wallet, the one that has been dominating my EDC rotation for the last year, is the 520 Presidio. Tanky, ergonomic, a great tough point, an incredible utility blade, a grind so high it's almost full flat - I love this knife. Yeah, I really wish it didn't have aluminum scales. But I can live with one aesthetic flaw in a knife that otherwise fits me to a T.

wow that Gaucho is pretty cool. Just wish it didn't have NRA on it.

Anyone care to post pics? It's kinda a pain looking up all the model numbers
