Your Favorite Axis Lock?

My 705 is the perfect 'work carry' and my 730 handles the rest

I see a 940 in my future though

The only one I currently own is the 710S in satin finish. Came perfect out of box, including the edge, which was almost"Spyderco-sharp."

But the most comfortable, from handling, is the 940. It feels like a great gentleman's knife. And the 720 seems an extremely solid mid-sized Axis. I also like the 705 a lot...the 730 I like the ergonomics but am not sure of the long-term utility of a saber spear point.

Too many knives, so little $$.

Much like the one they call Codeman, my Axis preference lies in the superbly-overbuilt BM705S. Brings a tear to my eye to think of everywhere it's been and everything it's done in its short life span.

Remeber, peas of a pod sink like a log. Or something.

My favorite Axis Locks are:
710 Axis Lock for outdoors utility carry;
730 Ares for urban utility/self defense carry;
940 Osborne for suit carry.

Sorry, I can't to tip one... Somewhat like matrimony - I would like to marry all beauties but was allowed to marry only one

Chris, how many benchmades did you have to send back with broken springs?

I'm currently carrying a 720 SBT. So far, I like the knife.I've only been carrying it for a couple weeks. I only wish it was set up for tip down carry, and was a touch bigger.

favorite: 710
most often carried: 705
I've played with them all and like none more than the 710. It is too big for daily carry out and about in my world but the 705 is just fine, if a bit fat. I like the 940 but I'd prefer to see a 940 shorty....blade about 2 3/4 ".

940 is the winner hands down. Classy looking, functional, sharpest Benchmade I have seen out of the box.

I still prefer the 710 over all others--love the blade to handle ratio.

While I am not Bm's biggest fan, (though they have a good CS department - Angie), I really like the 940. The fit/finish and design of this knife is just beautiful. I carry it with a suit 'n tie. I like the colored aluminum instead of the the "me too" G-10 and tactical look of others. The size and shape is just right for knife of this size.

I just hope that BM keeps the quality control up there and doesn't resort to employing its costomers as inspectors without salary!

I have the 705, 710 and 940.

The answer is the 940 without a doubt; nice blade, medium size and thinner handle

I like the 730. Since it's the only BM I own, I guess I'm cheating. But I really am happy with my selection. It is comfortable ISWB at work and a very nice size.

My favourite would have to be the one that I just bought (and destroyed my c/card for) , the BM730. I had dreams about this knife for over a month and couldn't take it anymore, so I bought the one thing that would stop the dreams.....

I don't own any other Axis models as they are major expensive here, but I'm so happy that I got the one that I always wanted. The G10 on this knife is cool as well

Earlier, I said my 705 without question. Now that I own a Blue 940, it's not so simple. I'm not carrying the 940, so I haven't used it, but I have to admit that it feels really good in the hand. I'm thinking about getting a green 940 so that I can carry and use it.
