Your favorite blade shape?

1. Clip preferably with a Sabre Grind
2. Drop Point
3. Spear
4.Sheepsfoot

One of the benefits of traditional multi-blade patterns is that I don't have to settle on a single blade shape. However, in a single-blade traditional I tend to like a clip blade with a pointy tip and not too much belly.

John put my exact thoughts into words. Here are a couple of my favorites.

Northfield #72 long pull clip with great balance, half clip and half spine.

S&M #9 stockman. Both of these have a nice swedge, with the pull behind, not in, the swedge.

I generally prefer a clip point on traditionals. They seem to work for just about everything. I can be satisfied with just about any design; clip, spear, wharncliffe, and so forth. Spey is probably my least favorite.
 
I don't spend a lot of time thinking about it, but I find that a clip point and a wharncliffe will pretty much cover the majority of my daily knife needs. I might have one, two or three knives on me but 90% of the time that will include a clip point and a Wharncliffe.
Here's an example of what I consider my favorite pattern. It's a Wharncliffe Trapper.

But special mention to Spear, Drop-Point, Sheepfoot.

Point taken about multi-blades, The GEC Dixie has a fantastic array and unusual: Turkish Clip, Wharncliffe, Drop-Point. Just wish they did a smaller frame 3, 3/8" -3.5" say.
 
Clip blade followed by a Sheepfoot blade - top picture is of a big Clip blade in use. For EDC purposes a Medium Stockman gives me my two favorite plus a spare. OH

The answer that first comes to mind is drop point. If given the choice, that will almost always be my pick. But very few traditionals have a drop point, the sodbusters being a notable exception.

With my multi-bladed knives, the straight-edged blades get most of the use, so that tells you something.
 
Old Hunter - Hard to beat a Buck 110 or 112. And the heat treat on that 420 steel...dang! Always a favorite.
 
A nice clip point is my favorite from an aesthetic standpoint, but a spear point with the bit of a swedge is my favorite to carry.

I probably have more clip points than anything, but I find the spear point to be the most useful. Paired with a long pull and a swedge, there isn't a better looking blade shape to my eye.
 
Will someone show a Zulu?

Here's one. The Zulu is a spear with a very low tip and just a little belly. It's a very useful shape for a single blade, as it sort of combines a spear and a sheepfoot into one blade.
