Your Favorite EDC Knife Of All Time....

VN54093.jpg

That's easy, Victorinox Classic. It's always on my keys, does 95% of all EDC tasks with aplomb. Removes splinters, ticks, staples, turns screws, opens letters, boxes, blister packs, clips loose threads, zip ties, nails... the uses are limited by your imagination.

For me it's my izula II, it's my Go to Edc. I've owned lots of different knives from a host of different makers but my izula is my favorite by far. It handles the spectrum and the aesthetics just strike a cord with me. Plus, if for some unthinkable scenario in which it broke, I could affordably replace it.

Edit: oops....can I count fixed blade as unassisted open? Hahah sorry!

Less than 3"? Aww, man. My three favs are all over that. First was the CS Pendleton Lite Hunter, because it was (and is) the toughest $15 stainless knife I've ever used. That got bumped by my custom blue & black Tenacious, which just recently got bumped by the Fallkniven F1.

Under 3" though... That's gotta be my shortened & deassisted Leek. I turned it into a wharncliffe with a 1.85" blade and shortened the handle to match. It's the perfect people-friendly knife because it's so small and non-threatening, since it has no tip.

Has to have a 3" or less blade, be unassisted and it can be purchased for $200 or less....
Although there are plenty of good knives available that fit your criterion none of my favorite EDC blades do. I suspect I'm not alone.

I have alot of knives but my all time favorite EDC has to be the large griptilian.

The spyderco delica is a great knife under 3". That length limits you a lot, but there are great knives that fit in that category. Another one you will get a lot of comments about is the small (mini) griptillian. That and the delica have been compared endlessly, you can look at some YouTube videos that show them well. For 200$, you can get both!

Very nice choices. I guess I'll toss mine in there - Ritter Mini Grip is a pretty perfect EDC in my opinion. I just ordered the Bradley Alias II though so I am really hoping that becomes my new favorite - heard some great things about it.

Well the Para 2 is just a hair above 3 inches but I wouldn't pass it up for that. The para 2 is hard to beat in that price range.

I don't think a sub-3" blade can be considered "favorite EDC knife of all time", I think the knives more like 3.5" are better. If I had to carry something that small today I might consider a Benchmade Emissary, or the small versions of the Barrage or Stryker.

I'm quite fond of my Benchmade 707. Slim, 154CM blade, good for left handed types like me. Pretty darn near perfect.

Fitting the criteria of sub-3" blade, unassisted, under $200... Delica4 FFG. Runner-up, Vic Super Tinker. Those are also the only two I EDC that fit the criteria. Leek is assisted. Skyline is over 3". Ritter Mini-Grip w/ Wilkins scale is over $200.
