Your favorite folder?

I have a BM 960, and most, if not all, the Spydercos mentioned above.

One caveat. I would recommend buying from a dealer who will actually inspect the knife before sending it (or from a brick-and-mortar store). You want to make sure that the blade is perfectly centered when closed, and sharp right out of the box. There have been issues with the BM quality control over this. Also, you want to make sure that the opening mechanism is at that perfect point--easy to open, but no side-to-side blade play when open.

Thanks for the information! I have already ordered from newgraham and now I'm a bit worried because I live in Europe and would have a hard time resending the knife, especially since I would have to pay the customs again. I hope mine will come in good shape!

Also the paramilitary is a must have along with the Manix. Whenever I examine the compression lock, if properly made, I just can't see it giving out. Just a thought.

The Griptilians are excellent knives but if it was me I'd get a Kershaw Ti Bump for around $160. Excellent knives with good steel that are comfy in hand and Assisted Opening to boot. Hard to beat.

For large BM 630 Skirmish or Rukus or Spyderco Manix.

Meduim size BM Griptilian or Byrd Cara Cara

All are under your two hundred dollar limit, you could almost get one big and one meduim for around $225, take a look around. Try to get your hands on them first to really find out if you like them.

my Kershaw Ken Onion Tactical Blur w/tanto blade: it went above an beyond the call of duty; cutting turkey along side my fork! I didnt even clean the blade until 24 hours later and it wasnt even rusted :-)!!! it cut superbly!

Schatt & Morgan Red Bone Muskrat (with sterling silver handle shield)
BM 710D2
Beretta Warren Thomas Avenger (don't care for the Avenger name, but what a great knife!)

As an aside, the carbon fiber reinforced VG-10 blade on the WT surpassed my former "pointiest point" knife of all time,
which had been the Spyderco Ronin.

Hadn't planned on it, but for over a year and a half my EDC was a Spyderco Centofante 3. Just replaced it a few days ago with a Kershaw black Vapor.

Was unemployeed for almost a year so I carried the Spyderco with me since it was my last knife purchase until a few days ago. It grew on me. An excellent EDC that can handle anything you'd reasonably expect from a folding knife.... But I also rely on my knives for self-defense as well. And honestly, folders with a protrusion on the blade are generally better for that sort of thing. That's why I retired it.

i cant stand striders linerlocks the liner is too small for my thumb to catch out, so i fumble for several seconds to close it ...

i like the spyderco native with vg-10 blade.
has worked for all daily uses very well so far.

Well I have the spyderco carbon fiber bg-42 miltary on order, but my curent fave is the BM Rukus. However I see BM just came out with a mini version of the Rukus if you don't want a folder with a 4+ inch blade.

Is the mini released yet? If so where can I find one?

BM Skirmish is my favorite knife of all time. Tough, big, intimadating and best of all useful in most every situation. My close second is a Kershaw BLUR in S30V...I use this one around the kitchen for this and that.

My best folder? depends! The strider GB, or the PT, or the CR sebenza.
PT is little for the pocket and the sebenza is for being genteel. The GB see's the most hip time! I wear the Buck 110 sometimes also. Bigger than a sebbie but still sheeple modest.

The GB likes to scare people!
