Hello, All!

I've been wanting to get a Kershaw for a long time now (my first Kershaw). I don't know which one to get though. I want it to be good for EDC, cutting fruit, and opening boxes. Which one do you think I should get, help me get an idea.

Thanks,

~Ben

You could check out the Kershaw Skyline. (And there are many other Kershaws but I can't speak for them)

It's my ONLY Kershaw, but I have a Ken Onion Vapor and it's just great for an EDC as a framelock, it's really thin and that's what I like, to walk around with a knife in my pocket all day and not be reminded of it by it's own bulkyness.

I 2nd the Skyline for a thin easy to carry flipper. Or the Blur if you want an assisted opening knife that is a little bigger.

Skyline is the best EDC i have ever had, although one cannot rule out the Blur. I was also suprised by the Blackout, it was the knife that got me into kershaw knives believe it or not. but definately Skyline is the best EDC i have ever had

I like all my kershaws but almost always go to one of my leeks as my secondary for the small stuff like you're talking about. I generally carry something more burly as well like a fixed EDC, zt350, blur or something like that. Either way, the leek is great. I do agree with the other guys on the skyline, another inexpensive/quality blade

Id have to say my Blur, Cryo and Needs work. there's not enough love for the needs work :D

I love my junkyard dog 2 but it is kinda big not to mention the hidious pocket clip.....oh wait I did mention it,well I might as well add it looks like Warf (the kligon) from star trek designed that pocket clip but maybe you are a star trek fan and dig that kind of thing..I would also recommend the blur in s30v.You cant go wrong with a leak or chive. If you do like big A/O the tremor has been good to me.I would recommend checking out kershawguy.com

s30v blur. Its done really well for me. kershawguy.com has the blems of them for like $55.00 or so.

My favourite is my Cyclone. They've been discontinued now for some time, though, so uh...that's not much help to you. :o

I'm a really big fan of the RAM and the OD-1...which are also discontinued, but still available from a lot of folks. Top notch designs for general purpose purposes, IMHO.

Kershaw Skyline is probably the best Kershaw EDC I've owned. It's comfortable, disappears in the pocket, nice blade shape with a good tip that's not too pointy or too rounded, and enough belly for all of your cutting needs.

That's what I would go with.

Hello, All!

Kershaw has quite a line - choosing will be hard. These are some of the Kershaws that I own and would rec.

Assisted opening frame locks that I like
Leek - lots of options
Shallot - lots of options 3.5" blade
Volt - some options - 3.4" blade

Folders that I like
Vaopr III - very affordable nice frame lock
Chill - less than $20 and for a flipper the blade just flies right out

I also have a ZT 0200 - love it but it's big for an edc imo

Another vote for the full size Cyclone. I think you can probably find one here or an auction site.
