Your Favorite Knife In 2008?

This year, I've only picked up a Kershaw Junkyard Dog II and two Shallots. Shallot is my favorite.

Every one that I bought this year was my favorite until the next one. Probably a very old French butcher knife that I cut down to 5 1/2 inches and convexed the blade. Put a drop point on it.

Toss up.
D2 Para Military.
BM 710D2BK
JYD II Composite
BM 943
Or the Sod Buster Jr I just picked up.

Probably the 710 since it gets the most pocket time.

I've acquired so many nice Spyderco's this past year, that I'd never dreamed I'd own.
It's so hard to say which of them is my favorite!
But I did manage to get two that I'd always wanted ever since that Spyder bug crawled up my leg and bit me, pumping it's Spyder fever poison deep into my system! :D
And here's one of them in a self picture I took last summer over in my lovely side-yard (sorry I just love living in the country!)

Hard choice...

But for me this is the best knife of 2008, made by Gert Van Den Elsen:

And this was what I had to choose from:

I almost forgot this one: Case blue bone Seahorse Whittler, SS blades, sent to me by a fellow forum member here. (I won't mention popedandy's name here. Wouldn't want him to feel...awkward, you know...;)) It gets a fair amount of use, but I don't carry it much, stays at the bench mostly. Carved a couple of ornaments with it for the tree.

thx - cpr
