Your Favorite Knife

Is there a website where I can view some of these phenomenal creations, such as your Biohazard, Eric??? Is the maker of this knife Steve Ryan?

Thanks, Jeff/1911.

I always have a tough time with this question...

My favorite fixed blade is easy:

dozier.jpg

Bob Dozier Custom #6 with 5-1/2" blade

For folders I have to go with my top three:

boa_colored.jpg

Kershaw Boa

sebenza.jpg

Large Sebenza with Trailing Moon anodization

Which of those three is my favorite varies from day to day.

It's my "new toy", but this Boguszewski Cobra seems to do everything right. I can usually find SOMETHING that isn't perfect for me, but I'm at a loss with this one. It's just plain great.

I'm still fairly new to knives (if you don't count a USMC Ka-Bar), but my Microtech LCC Lightfoot with all satin plain blade (sharpened to a razor sharp mirror finish) is a phenom and my Strider BT has the frightening look that we all enjoy.
Looking forward to seeing what custom knives are all about at the NY Show.
By the way, just returned from a day in Manhattan and the world's greatest city is now even better. I've been a tourist there for a few decades and I've never felt such a sense of community. There's a story behind every set of eyes and people even are saying "hello" and holding doors open for others. Traffic was non-existant entering the Lincoln Tunnel and leaving the Holland Tunnel and there was meter parking everywhere. A salesman at my wife's favorite store gave us credit on an item that we already bought that just went on sale. The police are working very hard as many people look suspicious even though they're probably not. I'd possibly recommend to cab drivers to get rid of their turbins, but that's just me. And oddly enough, we were only cut off by one taxi-cab. There were many people on the streets, but probably not many visitors. In summary, one of the more patriotic things that you can do is to visit NYC ASAP. I'll be back soon and often.

I can't believe that no one mentioned RJ Martin! I carry something made by Randy at all times - from a small Handiman to a Hooligan. His knives always feel natural and great in the hand. Sharpness of his knives are second to none. The Hooligan is a great carry with a very flat profile and a 5" blade. I just received a Quest - great blade. Really, really nice - I have not been able to bring myself to carry this one.

Well I have owned a Large Sebenza for a month now, and it lives in my pocket and sleeps under my pillow.

How can you have only one?

DDR 4" EDC
DDR Scorpion
Kasper/Crawford Perfigo
Crawford KFF
Benchmade AFCKII
Polkowski Scorpion, Polecat

If for whatever reason I could only have one.....

4" DDR EDC

Luckily I don't have to make that choice! :D

Phil, that is a great picture. Swede, you will live long enough to get your name on Ed's list, but he does have a long waiting period for a knife. As Ed posted, contact him by email, you will find that he is one of the really nice guys of this industry.:)

Fixed: Walter Brend Model 6

My all time favorite knife is the Queen Model #24 slimline trapper with Winterbottom bone handles. It is the only thing my step-father ever had that I liked or wanted.

Gray_Wolf:p

For street carry my favorite is a 2000 plain edge satin Commander.
For utility at home it's my M2 Nimravus and my 2000 plain edge BT Mach-1.
If the Mach-1 had the wave, it would rule, hands down.

Current favorite is:

Spyderco G-10 Native w/ Blue Mosaic Inlay

Runners Up:

Dozier Reverse Tanto w/ ivory micarta scales and assymetric inlays
Spyderco R
