Your favorite knife

My favorite knife is my Benchmade 9050. I carry it everyday and have used it a lot at work and at home.
It takes a beating, but still works great

I only recently got into knives, though, I had a buck 110 since I was skinny and had hair. :) The large reg sebenza I ordered today is probably the one I'll call my favorite.

When it comes to knives, the more time I spend with a knife, the more I love it :D. More use = more love :p

The knife I've used the most was probably my Victorinox Bantam with green scales - also my first brand-name knife. I've been thinking of getting another one some day...

Since I lost that one, I use my Kershaw Cyclone the most.

I'll post the same picture I posted a few months ago in a similar thread.

My favorite knife ever: By far the Buck 110. I don't carry one because of the weight, but I've got several metric tons of them in my knife drawers.

My most carried knife ever: Victorinox Soldier. There are knives that I've had longer, but none have been in my pocket more. This one is going on seven years of EDC. And that doesn't mean any of this "EDC rotation" mumbo-jumbo, I mean every single day that I've worn pants since buying that knife.

My favorite formal/gentleman's knife: Buck 503. I love that little thing. It doesn't photograph well, but the old micarta scales are beautiful.

And my favorite hard use knives: Benchmade 710 and Spyderco Paramilitary. The 710 was in my pocket daily from January 2006 until being displaced by the Paramilitary back in September. I wanted something smaller and I honestly don't see the Paramilitary going anywhere anytime soon. It's perfect for what I need a knife for.

My all time favorite pocket knife is my EDC Spyderco C-44 big Dyad. That is just a mule of knife:cool: For those of you who are not familiar with this past model of Spyderco's>> it's a double bladed full sized folder with one bent sheepsfoot fully serrated blade and one very wicked, super streamlined clip point plain edged blade. It's handle scales are Micarta and the blade steel is ATS-55. I hope to the powers that be that Spyderco will either reintroduce that blade or come out with a new double bladed bulldozer similar to the Dyad.

My favorite fixed blade is the Fallkniven THOR. It's a big bowie with laminated VG-10 blade. And it demands respect.

My favorite all purpose kitchen, fishing, hunting and food processing knife is my fully serrated Spyderco Catcherman.

Isn't life good :D

I could add a bunch of disclaimers here, but if the house was on fire and I was arunnin', I'd grab my first Murray Carter Muteki neck knife:

Since this one, I've picked up a similar hand-forged one, one of his Whitecrane utilities, and forged one myself at his excellent bladesmithing course, but this is the one. It may be the slim utility of it, it may be the amount of cutting power possible in 2.5oz, or the blue steel core. It's probably got something to do with carrying for for 3000 miles on foot on my Continental Divide Trail thru-hike. But aside from all that, this knife is just my favorite.

my boning knife that my grandma gave me last year. it belonged to her father who was a butcher in winnipeg in the very early 1900's. if i had a camera i'd put up a picture, it also is my sharpest knife.

My favorite(s) have changed over time too. I say favorites because I don't have just one either. It's currently my Spyderco G10 Caly3, G10 Dragonfly, and my mainstay mini EDC for years, the Vic Midnite MiniChamp. My Ritter Mini Grip, regular Mini Grip, custom Vic Farmer with HA III scales, scissors and pocket clip, Wenger Safari (discontinued several years ago). I've always really liked the Ladybugs too and am currently EDCing the H1 model.
For fixed blades (which I don't have too many of) it's my RAT RC-4, RAT Pack RC-3 and Fallkniven F1.

EDIT - I forgot to mention another fave and mainstay EDC for years - the Vic Huntsman.

As to manual folders, the 710hs has been a constant for some time. Not the best for all tasks, but sufficiently good at most that I use the knife as my "standard" for folder comparison. I end up carrying the 710 most days.

As to automatic folders, I like the Dalton Scalper. Decent size, ambidextrous mechanism, and feels good in the hand in use. I'd like to see this in manual.

Not much of a fixed blade user, but the Browning Crowell/Barker has been taking over the tasks I used my old standby CS Trailmaster for. My favorite smaller fixed blade is a old SURSUM in D2 - the handle is a bit small for hard use, but the knife is convenient and the steel is well heat treated.
