I really like my seb clip, emersons and benchmade clips. They are all pretty strong and I find they grab well, but dont tear up my pants. I can also put them back in my pocket one handed easily with em
What's with all the complaints about clips being too tight? It takes about 1.3 seconds to bent it out a little so it's not so tight.
I like three screw clips that don't make the knife stick out too far. Preferably non painted. The BM split arrow is good.
My least fave is the Spyderso wire clip. I've bent and subsiquently straightened it about ten times in the last year. I think it's because of the extended flat section on the tip of the clip. Keeps getting cought on my seatbelt. It also flexes sideways when opening the knife.
I also didn't like all the points on the JYD clip. So I removed them with a file and some sandpaper. Now it's good.
As much as I love Kershaw, they have some terrible clip designs, but in Kershaw's defense, they usually try to use the same clip design the original designer used. The original Tyrade, the JYD II, and the Spec Bump come to mind.
If I was going to choose my absolute favorite clip for everyday pocket carry it's the Sebenza. It's not tough on your pocket and the retention is always dead on.
If it's my favorite clip ever, well then it's the top one in the picture. Just beautiful.
Matt Cuchiarra, also, has some fantastic clip designs.
