So it is time once again for one of my "What's your favorite medium sized knife" threads. Because I just love that size range. Perhaps I'll attach a poll later but let's see what your favorite medium sized knives are and why? To make it easy lets just say any Busse knife with a blade between 5" to 8" regardless of blade thickness.

So far my favorite has to be the NO-E. Especially my most recent, and current, Outlaw. It feels perfect in the hand. Light and compact but at .25" of INFI it could do some serious prying. I love the feel of the Ergo handles (not the blocky ones so much). The front finger guard gives me a real secure grip. It batons great, and is a good slicer with the right edge. With the exception of heavy chopping I feel the NO-E is more than qualified to handle anything I might throw at it.:thumbup:

And I have a feeling this bad boy is going to be wicked in satin when the time comes. ;)

What about you guys?

Waiting on a treat to arrive from Ban...but I have a feeling that when it comes it, it will be the Robin to my Gatman! :D:thumbup:

Going to have to go with my Hell Razor, perfect size and I favor thinner blades (.187-.22). Fits my hand like a glove and not to shabby looking either. For a knife of its size it is very light (about 14oz), so I can carry it on myself or strapped to a pack w/o even knowing its there.

I really like my newish skinny ASH, but I still can't go past my trusty, well loved Mud Razor.

Medium to me is 4.5 to 6in. I consider 7" to 10" large.

So to me, it's the BAIII's. DABA and LE being favorites

well since I consider the ASH-LE a medium I will go with that. Its flat ground, fits well and slices nicley. I LOVE my ASH-LE and think its a great all arounder and can be one thing or another in a pinch if I need it too and is light enough to cary easily.

i agree
though if you put another half inch onto the criteria, i'd go with the mofo

sorry, tyrkon, I'm big enough that a FFBM is medium sized. so that's my answer, and I'm sticking to it. :D

sub 8", my favorites are the HR and the old SJ, depending on what I'm doing...

The new Jackhammer is pretty sweet too...
