Your Favorite Medium Sized Blade?

An all around medium size blade, that's easy ...this is all one would require.

These are my favorite "middy" knives. Im around water a lot so I included my favorite Missions as well. Weather its a 5" blade or a 6.5-7" blade these cover all the bases for me.Wet and Dry I guess you can call them.
I like serrated blades for marine use but on dry land a plain edge is the only way to go for me(for fixed blades that is,folders are a differant animal).

edit: I have started to convex the edges of my busses though it may be hard to see in this pick.Kinda hard to get a good shot of the edge w/out being to relective(Im no Lunde obviously). They turned out pretty well though.

Man you guys have great taste. :D

Only one SFNO? (Guyon) Is that because none of us have one or is there another reason?

I don't consider the SFNO medium sized, rather medium/large. :D

I guess I was breaking my favorites down into five categories...
  1. small - AD
  2. small/medium - RMD
  3. medium - ASH1 LE
  4. medium/large - FSH
  5. large - FBM LE

This will be a tough choice for me. My personal favorites are the BATACLE, SFNO, HR, and SARSquatch. I tend to favor the SARQ because of the price to performance ratio. In addition it is the most forward balanced and sports a convex grind

My favorite medium sized blade is my 1/300, favorite large blade: 20'' HI AK :p I'm bout to have a Venus Williams arm after swinging that MOFO around :D

Heavy's definitely got me beat...I'm only 6'0 269...and dropping. The only thing I got claim to is retard stregnth :p

I finally got to thrashing that 1/300, the edge held up well! The wood....not so well :D I thought I was DEFINITELY going to mangle that thing with an edge that thin, but NO...it took a lickin and kept on tickin :D. You da mang BAN!

Good to know that the thin edge held up to a large fella like you who can dish out some serious beating. The great thing about the convex edge is that you can easily fine tune it and up the edge integrity by ever so slightly increasing the angle while stropping.

As much as I love that 1/300 SHBM... I still have to vote for a SARQ as my favorite medium sized blade.

Now if we are talking about a large blade then that is a whole nuther story :)

As if it would be a surprize, it would be a BBSHSH for me!
