Your favorite "minimalist" pattern.

I got a fixed blade for you. Nothing more than a blade and handle, tang heated and pressed into the wood.

I thought about it and two knives came to mind. The small one is an Imperial that I found for a dollar at a garage sale. Salvaged the beat up clip, turning it into the only Wharncliffe/punch knife I have (my other mod went to a different home recently). The other I found at an antique store for $20, not sure if the steel is even hardened- but is so thin, light and minimal that it had to be included. It is hand filling, has great curves and straights, and is so thin that it cuts like a razor! And it just happens that I had a picture of the two together!!

Nice knives guys, both fixed and folding!

Here is a knife I mentioned earlier, the Imperial Outers pattern with the non-Imperial tang marking.

Now fixed blade wise there's this old Cattaraugus with hard rubber grip. A small one a tad less than a Case Finn in size. I think when I asked on Levine's sub-forum several years ago it was determined to be from around the 1930s. Gets very sharp, small and out of the way with the left hand sheath.

Codger, I'm also a fan of the Sportsman type knives. I was on a kick for a bit and picked up a handful that include Outers, Imperial, Utica, and a few with and without the scaler spine. I also have the belt axe and knife set. Today both the Forest Master camp knives came in the mail. I won an auction for one minty one with the awl and then found another mint one with the full punch on it about a day later. Neither has been sharpened. When I get around to taking a pic of the axe, fixed blade, and the two camp knives together I'll post it. For not here's shot of my Sportsmans. Great minimalist knives from the past.

I don't care how many knives you own or don't own, everybody needs to aim to try the venerable Peanut. I like the Delrin 3220.
