I had a Camillus Arclite that I loved. I gave it to a police officer that was visiting here from Lithuania and I haven't replaced it yet. I also wear my Micro Slither a bit. I'm probably going to end up buying a Hartsook before it is all said and done as well.
I just picked up a CRKT Carson somethin or the other, not really a big fan of neckers either, but for some reason this little knife caught my eye. 19.99 at my local sporting goods store can't beat that!
I really like that Buck Hartsook necker too, it's like 32.99 or something and it's made in S30V.
Yeah I like the Carson too for the price. I had to cut the beat loop attachment with a dremel to make it slimmer, but for the price, it's pretty decent.
I really like the looks of CRKT Tom Kreins Dogfish. I'm not much for CRKT but I like the Wharny blade and bottle opener on the handle. The price isn't bad either at $20. Anybody have one who wants to comment on theirs?
So what makes some of you guys not like neck knives? Thanks for all the suggestions, guys, I've been looking 'em up. I kind of like the looks of the Arclite, but it's pretty big for a necker so I'll have to think about that aspect as well.
I've got quite a few myself. I like them, but not all the time. The one I probably wear twice as much as all the others is the Simonich Bitteroot. It's light, small, sharp, and I beadworked the ballchain.
The Nemesis Knives "Hellion" looks like it would work as a well as the Bitteroot. The Buck Hartsook is a bit smaller and the sheath is flimsy but will work well if you tape it around. The Hartsook is a neat little tool, though.
The Becker Necker and the Krein Dogfish are both very well-designed as knives but ... I hate the bottle openers at the butt, since I like to palm a small knife and the cutouts cut into my hand.
They say its a copy of another knife ,look for the post (My first Titanium knife) mine is bigger than the Dogfish ,wrapped handle ,made from 1/8th Titanium but I still got stomped on for posting a pic.
