Your favorite outdoors movies

I saw the name of the thread and I came in to post Jeremiah Johnson--no joke!--but I see that one's been covered! LOL

In no particular order:

The Evil Dead
The Hills Have Eyes (Original and Re-make)
Don't Go into the Woods
The Descent
Grizzly!
The Prophecy (the giant mutated bear movie, not the war of the angels movie)
Jaws
Deliverance
Southern Comfort
First Blood
Cliff Hanger
Friday the 13th 1, 2, and 4
Apocalypto
Predator
Meatballs (I know, but c'mon its classic Bill Murray)

oh, and the 1970s super 8 Big Foot footage on a continual loop.

Best outdoors movie:
Last of the Dogmen

What would I take with to the commune?
Everything Bruce Campbell
All the MXC seasons that are available
All Monty Python I can get my hands on

A few already mentioned:
Clint Eastwood - Dirty Harry's, Westerns, Alcatraz, etc.
Hills Have Eyes
Aliens
Man, too many horrors and zombie flicks to remember

One of my all time favorites is Death Hunt with Charles Bronson awesome flick.

I only bring a few electronic devices when I go on canoe trips, portable fish finder, flash light, GPS.

If it's raining I usually have a tarp up and a fire going.

If torrential rain was "tarp and a movie" time....over here there would be little oppertunity to go out....although we have "thankfully" some amazingly long hunting seasons compared to you guys in the States...I can stalk deer all year round here....when it is really chucking it down deer go into the woods and are really reluctant to move out...but do wander around browsing....wet weather like that is a great time for "tracking" in the woods and you can get very close for some shots...it is a great time for "necking" some nice young ones for the freezer....plus you have the woods to yourself....this probably accounts for why I have nearly as many sets of waterproofs as I do knives....:D:D

I have been stuck in a "Bothy" a time or two in the Highlands during some bad blizzards though...having a film or DVD series then would be cool...I like Ray Mears stuff....you can learn a lot from him....

Anybody who actually takes "Deliverance" into the woods to watch has some real stones.

Damn, you all watch some scary stuff when your out in the woods. I don't watch movies while camping too often. And when I do its usually stuff the kids like. But for the sake of conversation I'll add:

A River Runs Through It
Lonesome Dove
Without A Paddle

Death Hunt with Charles Bronson and Lee Marvin. An awesome outdoor movie if you can find it.

I don't watch movies in the wilderness, thats why I go there to get away from that kinda stuff. Just enjoy nature and all the sounds of the night. Hey if its raining and your bored drink up you'll pass out sooner or later!
