After returning from an awesome trip to Alaska and the Yukon, we were going through our photos and came upon this;

My father-in-law snapped this and caught my image in the glass. Totally accidental. One of my favorite pictures of all time ( and I literally despise being in pictures) but it captures my mood when I am not in the "outdoors".

So that's what they did before photoshop. :p Neat picture!

Edited to say: I wonder how he caught your image, but not his own. The angle must have been perfect.

Here are some of my favorites that I've taken over the years. :)

Love the dog...What kind of dog is it?

Molly is 100% Beagle. Thought we were gonna lose her last year due to kidney disease, but she pulled through. The way she loves the snow though... I think she's part St. Bernard.:D

This one is great. What caused that effect?

It's a photo of a mud puddle in my driveway. Somehow that snake-like disturbance in the water was running (in motion) back and forth across it without merging. Snapped a few photos and it looked like a really crazy sky in b&w thanks to the reflection off the water. :thumbup:

Wicked cool. Sometimes the simplest subjects make the most out-of-this-world photos.

I took the first one out the window of my truck years ago, and was surprised to see a rainbow when I looked at the pics later.
Second is one of a zillion taken from my favorite viewing position, which I've unfortunately not been in for the last three weeks:(

As far as being technically good, not so much. But the content of the picture brings back good memories. It was in Colorado at about 9400 ft. The morning started at 12 degrees but I think it was up to about 16 when the picture was taken. I boiled a fresh pot of coffee to have while I watched the sun come up. I very much enjoyed that morning.

This is a shot taken in the Adirondack Mountains while on my honeymoon canoe trip. This is the same weekend in September 2003 when Hurricane Juan devastated the Atlantic Maritime regions, and which produced this spectacular ice storm during our trip.

I live on the Atlantic coast of Cape Breton Island. This shot was taken just down the road from my house as a rather gnarly storm was winding down. The wave spray is about 100ft high and is indeed higher than the famous Louisbourg Lighthouse

Same place, same storm. I really like the textures and light in this shot.
