Looking for a smaller fixed (3-4" blade) knife. Preferably under $200. I might even see it at the gun & knife show tomorrow.

What are your favorites?

ESEE 3 and 4. Busse SAR3. Anything from Bark River. Swamp Rat RMD (little too large but... still) and HRLM.

A custom from the makers here.

Repeat this about 100 times and close the thread :)

Under $200 probably the BM 94x or the Spyderco Sage 2.

I think the OP wanted fixed blade options.

I just received one of Kyley Harris's knives the cKc 2.1 with a "high" convex grind. It is built like a brick $hithouse and cuts like crazy -- :D

Thinking Cynic didn't fully read the OP

Whoops, looks like I misread/skipped right over the fixed part.

I'd vote for a Seki Cut Hiro Little Blue Hunter. The Mother of Pearl ones are probably a little over your price range, but the wood ones are comfortably under $200.

Mcusta also makes a rather nice pocketable fixed blade with damascus VG-10.

I just bought an Fallkniven F1. Should get it tomorrow. Read wonderful things about it. I also own a Busse Game Warden. Amazing knife. A lot of money, but is so, so nice.

Bark River Woodland (3") or Highland (4") If you like convex grinds. I've had a Woodland for years and can't seem to find its equal.

You might find a Bob Dozier close to your high end if hollow ground is more to your liking.

Happy hunting!

How about a Griptilian in D2.
For $200, you can buy 2 and have change left over.

Also, a RAT 3 (and other similar blades)

A lot will depend on it's use...
