Your favorite TRADITIONAL sheath knife (hopefully pic heavy)

What's the length on the Canal Street Bob? Nice toasted stag they used there.

I don't really have a favorite but here's a few..
3- older Westerns, 1 old Mora, Case Razor Edge, Uncle Henry, and my Dozier.

My favorite is my Bark River Northstar in curly maple. I have been wanting to try a nessmuk for some time too.

I've got quite a few "traditional" favourites.

These are customs by Mariano Gugliotta, my pics suck:

A better pic of the roach belly:

A leuku inspired camp knife:

A skinner, the first piece I got from Mariano a few years ago:

A custom khukuri (can you tell I really like this guy's work?):

I also use traditional Argentine knives quite a lot, I'll post some pics tomorrow.

Blues,
The Winkler/ Shook is great.

Thanks. I picked it up from Dan and Karen at a Guild Show in Orlando several years ago. They are extremely talented and a super nice couple to boot.

Here's a few. I like the Uncle Henry Badger. Third from left, very comfortable. The Buck is from the 60's. Just says BUCK on the stamp.

Is the 2nd one from the left a Western H-48s?
Is that the original sheath?

K6?
It looks like an L66

EVERYONE knows Trent's favorite fixed blade is The Black Beauty!!

I still don't have the original sheath though :(

Tang is marked K6, not to sure what year made or difference between the 66, which I also have one of, and the K6.

Being the latest addition, it's also my favorite. J.R. Cook forged Hunter. 4 1/2" 1084 blade, German silver Bolster/Guard, with Desert Ironwood handle.
J.R. also made the case.

Here's a little Mace Vitale Utility. I had Paul Long make a higher ride sheath for it. It's on my belt whenever I can carry it.

This one is a sweetheart of a heavy duty hunter-skinner. And I recon you could call it my favorite,, at least at the moment:D.. A custom handmade from start to finish Jim Behring "Treeman". This old boy and his son Jim Jr do it all... From forging the O-1 hi-carbon tool steel blade with a convex grind, to Jim's own heat treatment and quench recipe, to all the finish work, all in the "Ole Bill" Scagel tradition. She comes with a nearly indestructable horse hide sheath from Mosher.

Anthony, Gary: Them are both very beautiful knives.

Of course you change you favorite knives once in a while, mine has been the little finn for the last couple of month and I reckon it will be for a while ;), but before that the Buck special was my favorite ( I carried a Schrade 125OT at that time). So I guess I downsized some.

I picked up the Little Finn Ka-Bar as a bird knife and have it attached to my bird hunting bag. Though I would prefer a different steel this baby is sharp will holds an edge very well.

What kind a steel is it?
Can you post picutes?

I think the little finn is about the perfect knife, for me at least.

Enjoy the knife.

Looks like a dandy knife, but I prefer stacked leather ;)
Nice one jim, I hope you get it one day.

TR - The Western is a 648A. With jigged delrin. The H-48 looked more like stag (Western called it buckhorn sometimes) No the sheath is not original. Originally these knives came with a holster type sheath. CV Blades.

Took my rehandled Marble to the woods, it handled light cutting as well as I knew it would. I love my Flayer for hunting but for general woodcraft this knife is great. It is rapidly becoming my favorite for camping and such.
