If you buy used, there are lots of TSA confiscations that go for sale on the auction site. All my Classics have been purchased used and have had plenty of life left in them.

The Tinker and Spartan can be had for under £20 here in the UK, with the £ as it currently is that's under $20. Both good little folders.

As far as butter knives go, these hand carved Swedish style knives work much better in my opinion. Take any knife (including those in this thread), get a scrap piece of wood, and have fun!

The Victorinox Swiss Army One is my favorite knife under $20. Alox, sunk joint, one useful blade, slim, strong, perfect watch pocket carry.

This guy. I've seen these go as low as 11$ on fleabay. Having used both this and the HF, I think this is noticeably higher tier.

As far as Svord, many places that sell knives carry them.

The best would likely be either an Opinel Traditional #8, a Morinkniv Pro S, or a Victorinox Swiss Army Spartan. It just depends what you want it for.
