These have all worked very well for whittling. They all have an extremely sharp Wharncliffe master with one or two small pen, clip or coping blades for fine detail work. Not surprisingly, the Case Seahorse whittler is probably the best all-round wood carver. Its small pen and coping blades are ground so thin that they're slightly flexible, while the big Wharnie is as stout as many so-called "tactical" blades.
