Your Favourite Sharpner

Seen a few for sale in the last Month or so, but never used one. I’ve got a Hapstone M2. Use the heck out of it. Happy so far.

Wicked Edge GO sharpener...anyone got one and what do you think?
Thanks, birdave.

I saw a review on youtube that wasn't great made me decide if I was going tos pend that much on a sharpener it wan't it to work perfectly and it seemed like quite a faff to set up and use but as I sasy this is only from that review and not personal experience.

SharpMaker for an edge with a kitchen steel for touch up.

I also have a diamond Lansky system if the edge really gets torn up.

Extra coarse and extra fine diamond stones from DMT for use in the field, if needed. These were compliments of chuck4570 chuck4570 . Along with few other sharpening odds and ends, I might add.

Thanks Chuck.

The kitchen steel gets used more than anything else.

KME to set the bevel, then I like to micro bevel and maintain with the sharpmaker with the ultra fine rods and kangaroo strop and diamond spray, or a balsa strop if I feel like it. btw, with my knives I use for work, I usually stop at the 1500 grit diamond stone and lightly strop for a toothy edge.

Lynn your welcome, glad they are getting used. I’ll have to spend more time in the General just to keep in touch, I’ve always enjoyed your insight.

DC3 keeps my knife sharp enough for work. Naniwa wet stones sharpen my knives for play.

Wicked Edge 130. Short learning curve, but expensive depending on what stones, strops and lapping film you choose.
