Your feelings on the killaZilla2, after seeing it?

My proxy put one on order for me just like in the picture -- green with hand-shaped tan Micarta. He also got one for himself. I have been, and will continue to be, a big fan of HI khukris, but the Busse version will be better. I probably wouldn't have ordered one for myself due to the price (I'd have probably gone for another pair of B-11s instead), but I'm glad to be receiving it. I gave him a few "I like this, but not this" set of guidelines and a target total price range, then asked him to pick out stuff for me. I trust Jeff's judgment -- he was impressed with the 'zilla 2, so I suspect he made a better choice for me than I might have for myself.

Not that there's anything wrong with two more B-11s, or adding little more to pick up a a CG Gladius either (he got me down for one a beautiful Custom Shop Gladius along with the 'zilla 2, one B11, a Dog Father and three Scrapizashis). This Blade show seemed to have even more temptations than normal.

The Geometry of the TTKZ needed re-profiling to more of an appleseed shape on the deepest part of the blade ..... as it was it was more of a pear drop shape ..... the new version we are told has this thinner steeper taper on the deep section from the factory .... this bodes well for being able to bite deep when chopping into wood.

I re-profiled my TTKZ based on the shape of the re-profile I had done on my NMFBM which I was very pleased with ..... allowing for a more gradual steeper angle given the deeper section of blade on the "chopping" section and then re-profiled the section nearer the handle thinner on the edge for fine carving and slightly less thin by the tip for strength when using the tip. Effectively having three different grinds on the blade edge according to the uses intended/available for each section as originally shown to me by a Ghurka Sergeant who gave me my first Khukri .....

I will do the same with the new KZ when I get it .....

But the criticism of the original grip shape on the TT model offered by others I don't share .... I am very happy with the original grips ..... and if the new model works as well as my TT model but is lighter I will be very pleased. However on performance my TT model will take some beating ..... I did a review comparing the KZ to a number of other blades and even a GFB SF Axe ..... none of them had the chopping power as shown here ..... including the NMFBM .....

If the new KZ can match this I will be very pleased ..... especially if it is lighter .... I will do a review when I get mine ..... but all indications on the new spec KZ are very good

What were the color options?

Was muddy an option? or Tan finish?

Just trying to figure it out quickly.

I know it looks like Sage was an option.

I have not seen it in person but the handle looks really nice. It reminds me of one of my favorites:

I know there was no influence from this knife and they are not exact but I just love the styling of both:)

I think it will be a home run.
