Your first knife...EVER!!

That's funny, I wanted the Rambo knife so bad when I was like 12.. before I knew what a tang was, or.... lack there of :)
I think I was 9 or 10 years old,, my brother and I both got one, and my dad cut us loose in the woods,,good times.

I cant remember. Either a cheap junk hollow-handle survival knife with a compass on the pommel, or some kinda of a friction-folder given to me by the old neighborhood handyman for "whittling". I dont recall which was first.

First knife I bought for myself was a Gerber Gator, then a KABAR. I remember how crazy I thought my friend was when he told me that he could cut down a tree with my KABAR.

My first ever knife of my own was a small Zippo knife, from Red Dog Mine in Alaska, that was a christmas present. I proceeded to find a way to require a trip to the ER for stitches. Promptly lost the knife during that ordeal too. I wish that I still had it.

First ever was a Swiss Army knife ..... First I paid with my own $ was a Bowie knife made by Scheffield..... Must have been 14 or so. Still have it!

I still have my first knife ever- I got it when I was probably about 8 years old or so. Got it on my first camping trip with my dad in the mountains of NC. Stopped off at a little store and he bought me a knife. Cheap little folder. "Red Deer" is the brand. I ought to clean it up and put it in a display or something.
