  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Your first knife

I was a kid 1970's and dad worked at a hardware store gave me first pocket knife a CASE . He said it was last year of a blade metal , sadly lost it while fishing .

About 1951 snapshot of my first fixed blade. A Ka-Bar 4" or 4.5". I had a pocket knife or two prior to that. I would have been 10 at the time of the photo. Alas, kids do stupid things and I eventually traded it for a box of arrowheads and Civil War Miniballs. Would give have my current pile of knives to get that back.
My father had a ww2 paratroopers knife in a box up in the attic but gave it away some 25 years ago because he didn't want me to find it 🤣🤷

This little Kabar wasn't my first, but it's the only knife from my childhood that remains.
