Your First Love

As to the topic, it was a Finnish leuku (Sami knife), given my by my parents who had purchased it there on a trip.

Other than that--what AntDog said. Except for the Amarillo/Kansas part. And I did get the CQC-7.

, 'Dog......

Buck 110. In the 70's if you were any kind of outdoorsman, you had to have one of those with your belt sheath strapped on at all times. I don't know if buck was the first makers of knives in that style, but it was the first one I noticed back then. After that it seemed every popular knife brand made big folders in belt sheaths and everybody had one.

I remember in the mid 90's when Blade magazine put the Emerson Timberline SPEC-WAR on their cover and I fell in love. I have never owned one (insert "Banner walking away" music), but it got me into the hobby. Mmmmm, still sweet looking.

 :) Good call actually getting the CQC-7. I've had lots of Emersons, but never had a 7.

Ha, ha, ha
I was going to respond . . . then saw all the heavy artillery and decided not to . . .
then . . .
oh why not:
Western brand small stockman I bought in the eighties. Turns out it was made not far up the interstate right here in Colorado. It had 1095 steel or something similar. I really liked that knife. I bought it at my favorite mom and pop hardware store.
I lost it getting out of my wire wheel (low to the ground) car one day going into a Woodcraft store. Somebody must have picked it up because I couldn't find it when I realized in the store I didn't have it and went back to search for it.
I look forward to finding another one some day.
I already had a Buck 110 (I've still got it) but found it pretty useless for City Boy carry. I don't skin Grizz much. :p

It was this video and when my father showed me his. I bought one shortly later (Clip Point).

It's funny, I watch this video and think...PPFFF that's nothing!
