Your first pocket knife... Still have it?

I still have one of the two "first knives I ever got". Sounds weird, but I got my first 2 knives at the same time. One was a little Buck knife that I don't even know the name for, and the other was a brand new (at the time ;)) SAK classic red cadet.

The cadet got lost somewhere along the years, but not before slicing through the tip of my thumb when I was 9 :D

The buck is the one I still have. I don't carry it really, but I have it in my Pelican case at home, and sometimes I'll take it out and just kind of fondle it. For being about 15 years old, the thing is in perfect shape. I might post a shot if I can get time to tonight.

my first knife was a cheap penknife but after a while my first quality knife was a victorinox waiter

While I am not that prone to losing stuff, I have managed to lose my first knife - a Cub Scout SAK-style (age 8), followed by my SAK Tinker (10) and really cool looking translucent camo Gerber Ultralight (14).

I'm pretty sure I didn't miss the Cub Scout knife.

I am sure I don't have the first knife, which was most likely a cheap novelty souvenir knife. But the first 2 real knives I got were a SAK Alox pioneer and a buck 119? I still have the SAKb but cant find the Buck. I think my son "acquired" my Buck so it may be around somewhere. The SAK has a lot of value to me.

I lost or traded many of my early year knives. If memory serves me, my first knife was one of the camp knives that has a spoon, fork, and drop point blade. If memory serves me more, this Buck & Kabar are the oldest knives I was given brand new that I still own. I got the Buck when I was around 10 and the Kabar when I was 11 or 12. Both made short work of countless rabbits and squirrels taken with my Benjamin pellet rifle, my River 10/22, or the Stevens nickel plated 20 gauge breakover shotgun which was sadly stolen.

The buck got use as a chew toy at some point by one of my puppies...apparently the pup smelled the game on it as I often only rinsed it off in the creek or with my canteen.

This old Schrade I think was actually a hand-me-down I got before the others but I'm not sure, as I have a box of old knives that were my step grandpa's....but I'm pretty sure it was from my step dad.

I do. A little Boker pen knife I got when I was a kid. Here it is, bottom knife in the pic:

My other "first knife" was a Case Finn hunter. It is currently being restored, but I also hired T.M. Hunt to make a tribute knife with the same basic design. He knocked it out of the park. Tribute on the top, original on bottom.
