your first true high end folder

Small Sebenza with Lignum Vitae inserts, a gift, that unfortunately ;) led to a couple of CRK purchases for myself!

That looks better than I thought it would. Awesome! Amazingly durable wood BTW, will long outlast you. ;)

I've been interesed in some of those, which is your favorite? how do they compare in terms of F&F?

William Henry -- makes a great knife. Haven't looked lately, but at the time they were very focused on gents knives and they were a little dainty for me.

Sebenza -- is Sebenza. Never disappointed me and I'd be happy to carry one.

DDR EDC-- great looking knife, iconic in some ways. I owned many (7-8, and even more Apogees) and each one was disappointing in some way.

TNT -- great fit and finish, great cutters.

Onion, Bose, Horn -- for the purposes of discussion I'd say flawless fit and finish. Priced accordingly.

I had the same knife probably 10 yrs ago or so. I still have it and it was one of my favorites for a LONG time. Stood up to some abuse as it was my work knife. A solid offering from Benchmade. I will probably get flamed, but I liked that version better before the Axis model.

technically it was a benchmade model 42 but for real folders it was an emerson super 7 which led to chris reeve and ZT and spydercos.
