Probably because it's a Gerber.

Mine came completely dull and with a lot of play.
After some adjusting and some sharpening it
turned out to be a quite good working knife.
However, I’m somehow annoyed that I had to pay the full price
and still had to do half of Gerber's job.
After all, this knife wasn’t offered as a knife kit.
