Your ideal PM2

Easiest question ever! ;) Fluted titanium integral compression lock with Maxamet.

They have had a prototype for years...

Here are two pics I openly admit to stealing off of the internet before they disappeared.

Why on earth has this knife not come to fruition? This is grail status for many people. I'll hand over my debit card right now...

Take my money please

But I could just as easily go with ti on lock side and carbon fiber on other side

Kinda like knifeworks exclusive military

I agree with others- M4 is the ideal one for me, but I can't decide if I like CF or Jade G10 best.

Ideal PM2 would be S110V with the Benchmade DLC coating (because I like Benchmades DLC better since its resistant to fingerprints while spydercos is not) Black carbon fiber or G10 scales but not too rough. A salt PM2 would be nice as well

I just ordered some full brass scales and a purple titanium lanyard tube for mine. Going to make it heavy as $^!*, but I don't care! Going to be a heck of a change from the carbon fiber I have on now..

Blade steel - 20CV/204P/M390/Elmax. These have a combination of edge retention and ease of edge maintenance along with corrosion resistance that is goldilocks stuff for me.
Blade length - just a smidgen longer please.
Clip - bronze anodized machined titanium - think RGT.
Scales - wood, a beautiful burl with highly attractive grain and a medium to dark tone. Hand rubbed oil finish. Slightly rounded contour, drilled only for tip up RHS. Flat spot on the scale for where the clip mounts and a tiny notch that the other end of the clip sits in. No lanyard tube holes in the scales - makes the wood too thin at the edge and prone too cracking.
Lanyard tube - bronze anodized titanium, ground down so it sits in the liners, effectively just working as a spacer between the liners.

Yeah, that would work for me.

Stonewashed LC200N needs a sprint run, the MT25 is a wear restistant beast in the kitchen :)
Now having seen the fluted integral frame lock... Why haven't they already put this into production?! The polished, fluted Ti of the Native 5 is the most beautiful thing to ever come out of Golden IMO.

I'd like to see smooth carbon fiber, similar to my caly 3 and manix 2 cruwear. I find the texture holds onto dirt, and they don't stay as clean/nice looking. I like the look and feel of the smooth cf. Spidie ergos don't need added texture for grip.

I should probably try a textured cf before I knock it, but I know the textured G10 gave me dirt issues.

That fluted! Steel type? I don't care... sign me up for 2! Seriously sweet looking and I'm sure it's heftier than the g10 variants which I find a little light.

I can't believe spyderco isn't producing that fluted pm2.. I bet they would sell as fast as they came off the line.

Totally agree. I would have one for sure. Though if it came as a Sprint or DE the frenzy on release would be instant and epic and I'd be lucky to get one.

The way I use my PM2, the blurple S110V is pretty close to perfect, as-is.

Sure, I'd like to have a black or dark green scale color choice, but that's just being nitpicky. Maybe a deeper carry black clip, but again, this is my "outdoors" EDC so it isn't all that important.

Love the blade shape, size, form factor, just about everything. It's a classic and IMHO, the quintessential Spyderco folder.

Just about any PM2 fills the Bill.

Today it's this one.

A DLC CTS-XHP with Boomer scales.
Custom scales make any bland PM2 stand out.
