Your least favorite Cold Steel knife

I don't own any Cold Steel knives I dislike.

My least favorite would be my Mini Pal.

It is well-made, but the blade is too small to really be useful with the handle it has.

My Ready Edge that it replaced was much better but I lost it at Lake Powell in 1991. I found that one very useful.

Both had hard plastic sheaths which I consider worse than Secure-Ex.

If machetes count, I've found the 2mm machetes (Latin and Kopis) to roll and chip when cutting anything but green weeds while the 2.8mm Barong Machetes are very tough and gave me no problems. The Kopis would be a good weapon but it doesn't really work well for me as a tool.

I don't have the new "no-edge" machetes from GSM.

I do not like the cold steel Luzon with that big made in China stamp on it. I would never buy one. Look like cheap junk
I did not at first either, but it’s pretty darn cool. Mine had a ‘break in’ period, and after that I really liked it. Especially since it was less than 40 bucks shipped for the big one.
At first I thought the liner lock was plastic but it is steel. Not sure what type. I found out when I checked with a magnet. Anyway, I will say that one should NOT be jumping around a lot or jogging with a Luzon, especially in basketball shorts because it will open from the downward motions you make with momentum…But if it’s securely in a jeans pocket for example (jeans that fit and are not loose) or just normal fitting pants with decently secure pockets, then it’s good to go. It can be used for most people without worrying about the cost of having to replace it if you have to ditch it or abuse it, and it’s a fierce sd knife.

I did not like my ODA with the rubber guards. I don’t like being able to flex a guard with finger pressure, just felt cheap. A thick kraton guard like the master hunter is fine.

2nd least favorite that I can think of was the aus-8 master hunter, because it was so thick behind the edge. The master hunters with the distal taper do not have this issue.
I agree the aus master hunters were poorly tapered and super thick behind the edge.

The tuff lite is my kryptonite. Everyone likes them, but they just feel clumsy to me, they don't index well, don't pocket well.

Also, the full sized bushman. The round handle just turns me off. The mini bushman works for me pretty well tho.

I like my Tuff Lite, but hate that the clip is tip-down only. I still carry it, but usually in either the watch pocket or my cargo pocket.

I only own two cold steel knives a bushman Bowie and a voyager tanto I love them I own many of their machetes and wouldn't trade them for anything the kukri machete gladius and spear point. I guess if I had to pick one it would be the bushman Bowie simply because I consider it a niche blade use it more as a kitchen knife. My voyager gets edc regularly. My machetes all get used for back yard work and playtime

I like every CS knife I've purchased. They knew what they were doing.

I would say the Range Boss is my least favorite, because the handle is very thin, and the lock has a weak spring. It's not bad, though.

Folding bushman. Which is heavier than the equivalent fixed blade.
I can see how you don't like that particular model because of its funky locking mechanism, but as far as the weight is concerned, you can say that about most folding knives. A Mora with a 3.75 inch blade weighs only 3 oz. Most equivalent folding knives weigh more than that.
