I rotate my carry pretty regularly, but I've got a couple that always pop up. A Victorinox Explorer with Stay Glow scales is always in my work bag, I've got a green alox Cadet that's been put through some pretty tough work, and a Rough Rider copperhead that's used when I need a knife, but I know it could get pretty nasty, lost or damaged, like working under the house on a water leak or something.

Like most I have a rotation of knives that sit on my dresser; however, I mostly seem to grab for one of these two.

NICE James, did you re-profile the Spey? If so, a nice job:thumbup:
Yes and thanks Paul. I did re-profile the spey into a spear. That poor farmboy has had every thing done to it I could think of... but that's a big part of the reason I like it so much. I made it mine! :)

Very nice, I wasn't sure you came upon it that way or made it your own. I see a rat tail bolster as well...Great job. I believe you make it your own by personalizing it:thumbup::cool:

As of the past month or so I've been trying to rotate knives on a daily basis at the behest of my wife. She feels that if I own them I should use them often. That being said, below are three of my most used knives over the last few years.

This has been my beater these days. It's my lowest cost GEC that I own but after a reprofile on my Wicked Edge it has been my go-to knife where a slicer was important. Now it's been sort of an abuser knife that has already seen garden work and cut up quite a few cardboard boxes. Yes, it does need a touch-up every few days but after the reprofile it is easy to touch-up with a 20dps micro bevel and then it's back to work.

My main traditional user knife is this stag handled gunstock pattern from Schatt & Morgan.

Everyday for a long time , always as a backup to the latest and greatest new knife , but always there .

Busted up my ankle yesterday pretty bad... Seemed like a good opportunity to sharpen and oil some of my users. 77, 85, 72

I carry two faithfully, every day: SAK classic (I use those little scissors ALL the time) and a Case Yeller peanut.
If I need/want a fixed blade: Bark River Mini Canadian... quite possibly the best small BIG knife out there.
