the time is not issue it is the fact that as dsoon as my
stuff was at his adress he stopped responding to my email...
if it turns out ok i will post it but right now i havent heard a word since 12 13 01
 
Do you happen to have his phone number? Maybe something happened to his computer. I don't know, just trying to think of some reasons why he hasn't contacted you.

Have you done a search on when his last post was on Bladeforums?

I'd try and get his number from information and give him a call.

I'm not sticking up for him I'm just trying to help you out and try and put your mind at ease.

I've had three people screw me over BIG time over the internet 2 of them were for a large amount of $$$$.

It is the holiday season... besides, it took packages 5 days to reach Japan, ten to go from Woodland Park to Denver... But, the silence from the emails is hard to take. Sic Wolfie on him if he does not reply in a week... Ira has a Louisville sligger that has several notches on the grip. :)
 
This thread is a continuation of beware of owl

When members post on this forum because they've been unable to get a response from someone they're doing a deal with for a couple of weeks it usually turns out the reason is not that he decided to swindle you, and if accusations are made during the hiatus that usually turns out to be embarrassing for the member who made them. No harm in posting and it could help, and if you post only the facts you'll never embarrass yourself....

Owl posted several messages on Dec 12th and then two at 1:44 and 1:48am on Dec 18, Eastern Time. Nothing since then.
 
I hope everything works out. When something like this happens I can undeerstand you getting a liitle nervous, but give it another week or so and if he has still not contacted you or you have not received the knife, let us know.

Thanks for the help Cougar.

I wasn't implying that OWL has ripped him off. I was just stating in my last sentence the fact that I had been taken in myself by others over the internet and probably knows how he feels.

I've done deals with OWL and I'd do them again because I didn't have any problems with him. I'm just trying to give the guy other ways to help ease his mind until OWL contacts him.

I've thought about it lifter, one is now deceased, I would have generously offered the money to his next of kin if I was truthfully informed of the situation. But I was lied to by this individual and even though he is no longer amoung us the bottom line is he lied.

The second fella is running from the law. I have a pretty good idea where his wereabouts are and have a couple friends keeping their eyes open for him (for legal reasons of course nothing illegal here guys). This guys is a total pudwacker!

Another dreg of humanity I should be able to get compensation for because it involved my credit card so this one might not be lost after all.

But thanks for the offer lifter! I'll keep it in mind :D

He was pretty active on BF. Does anyone know if maybe he got activated or INJURED, or WORSE??????????

I don't KNOW about this one YET. I am gonna have to get some help from the POWER-HUNTERS in the shadows before I give a HOOT to OWL.

Kinda looks like he might have met with some bad stuff in his life. WAS the deal worth detroying his REP on BF?..........Ira
 
Whoa, calm down you meshuganah sleuth. I guarranty Owl is either off line due to a busted puter or is away for the holidays. He is NOT a ripoff!

hi guys , i just did a deal that finished up about a week ago with owl i did 2 deals with him and he kept his word all the way a lot of people go away over the holiday i have not been at the puter myself since dec 25 lets not trash a good forumite till we give him some time and got the facts ;) jaxurman
 
That is EXACTLY what I said;) ;) ;) ;) I am NOT on "DUTY" and it is a FEDERAL VIOLATION to hurt an OWL:p :p
