Your "most comfortable (in the pocket)" knife

I liked these so much that I had this Custom Fixed blade made. Using the Blade shape, and putting it on my belt. Freed up a pocket, and truly one handed deployment and Sheathing. Thanks to David Mary David Mary and @Gary W. GraleyView attachment 2209807
That’s sweet!
I’ve actually been thinking about having David Mary David Mary do a full-height shallow hollow re-grind on one for me someday… He did a wonderful job on my Scrap Yard AD6.

👍👍

Opinel #4 is very pocketable, much better than Case Peanut because of the weight.

I've been using the number 5 Opinel for some years now, and have to agree with you on the weight issue. I just like the extra half inch for cutting a sandwich in half.

The only pocket knife that carries better than the small Opinel is the SAK classic dropped down in the pocket. Goes to the bottom and you forget its even there.

I'll muddy the waters a little. I took a few minutes to think on what I find myself carrying the most because they are comfortable to carry, and do the job for me. I came up with these.
Clipped to the RFP. Either with an integral pocket clip or clip sheath. 4" closed or smaller, 4 oz or less.

In the pocket, in a slip, sitting vertically next to my front pocket wallet. Single blade slip-joint, 4" closed or smaller, 3 oz or less.

Apologies for the low light pics.

My most comfortable knife in a pocket would be a 15g Deejo--that's about half an ounce.

The most comfortable knife that I actually carry in a pocket very often would be the Dragonfly. I usually just carry it around the house, but a couple times I have gone outside to do farm chores wearing the wrong pair of shorts and used the Dragonfly successfully for most tasks.

The Bugout in the photo is for size comparisons, but it is also quite comfortable. It's the best knife I have for cutting rope, cardboard, zip ties, tarps, and so on.

My worst knife for pocket carry would be the QTRMSTR General Lee. Besides being long, thick, and heavy, it would get horribly tangled up with my keys. It has a very cool folding mechanism, but it is impractical to use because of risk of pinches and cuts to the user.

From my point of view this is the undisputed civivi Elementum and cold steel prolite. They are both very light. Sometimes I forget they're even in my pocket. It would be great to hybridize the two. Cold steel prolite tanto micarta with D2 steel blade and deep carry clip.

My most pocket friendly knives that get the most carry are the ALOX SAKs & Opinel #06 & 07.
The Opinels are barely over an ounce, so you hardly know they're there, and I always have an ALOX SAK with me.

+1 for Opinel No. 6's.
At around 3 3/4 inches long, they don't sit at the bottom of the pocket and make suspicious knife-shaped pokey spots in my pants. I love how light they are, too.
