I've got this one coming:

When I got my Alaskian Guide 110, the handles didn't match to my satisfaction so I decided to return it to Cabela's new store here in Maine. I picked another with scale I liked and started browsing about.

Had to have the BM Griptilian 551 in D2, Drop Point, OD green handle, & black oxide coated blade. I'm more than impressed with this knife and its axis lock. The Endura went right in the box will I play with my new Grip.

just picked up a Emerson Super Commander, plain edge.

my Knife Borg collective has absorbed another blade into the hive.......

That is the phrase I was looking for, true and right.I have to stop.

you will assimilate! :D

On Monday (coming up) i'll be picking up the Emerson Bushman! (would have grabbed it and the Super Commander today but i had to get food too......:p )

Spyderco C65S Chinese Folder with jade green Almite handles. UPS says it'll be here Wednesday.

I used to carry a Victorinox pocket pal every day to work, but a month ago it fell out of my pocket and I lost it. I was carrying my larger Boker EFD folder to work but that really is not something I can do in the line of work that I am in. so...I went to the local cutlery store on Friday the with the intent of buying a very small bladed knive with a pocket clip with either the manufacturing origin of the USA or Europe. Nothing there I found fit the bill...so I ended up with a package deal from Victorinox that included a Signature Lite Knife and a quick release key chain. It includes a knife blade, nail file/screw driver, scissors, retractable ball point pen, LED mini light, and a small key ring in addition to the quick release key ring. I don't lose my keys, so losing my knife will not be a problem.

Now I will never be up the creek with out a paddle if I need to get someone's number on a dark night, plus the light will help me at work, when I need to go in our storage area, which is not lighted with direct lighting. Since the led light is red it won't mess up my knight vision either. Sure the blade on this knife is a bit smaller than I was looking for but it is hight quality and sharp. On Friday I used it to cut open a very thick card board box that contained new H&R Racing Springs and it worked like a charm. With the quick release key chain it is easy to take off from my key chain if I have to go through a metal detector and when I need to use the knife for cutting or something else it is not cumbersome because I can detach it from my keys.

My Boker EFD was purchased with self defense in mind and I will keep this knife in my car for when I am not at work. This will be my new work knife and as mentioned above it will prove very usefull while at the same time being an "office knife" by not scaring coworkers or giving customers the wrong ideas, ...given, I did not sign anything saying that I would not bring a knife to work, nor was I given a manual stating that knives could not be brought to work!!

This is a never ending battle. Just got a Swamp Rat Howling Rat on Sat. Then, there is an Al Mar Sere 2K I'm in the process of buying. They are my most recent.

Well, this is for purchase tomorrow, unless I hear bad news about it from somebody on this forum before then. Bass Pro Shops has a "Browning Damascus" that sounds too good to be true for $49, but hey it's worth the 10 mile drive over to check it out. Here is the description on their website:

The Browning® Damascus Folding Knife is a slim handled knife that comes complete with a highly figured Quince wood handle, genuine Damascus blade, Browning Buckmark on the bolster, thumb stud, locking liner, and pocket clip. Blade length: 3''. Overall length: 7''.

The two folks who did an online review of their purchases on the website sound extremely happy with their purchase, and the local store here in North Carolina has it in stock. I couldn't find any mention of this knife on Browning's website nor any online knife store, so I'm thinking maybe Browning made this exclusively for Bass Pro Shops.

Monday update: Well, I did buy the knife. Bass Pro has tons of them in bubble packs. The cardboard says its a Browning BP400 knife. It's made in China (for that price, of course!), well at least the pocket clip is. The clip also has a model 159 designation, I don't know if that is another model number for the knife. The blade is 3/32", with the center material 1/3 of that. I couldn't find a designation anyplace as to what that material is. Layers? Not sure how to count, but there were at least 14 dark layers. The quincewood is beautiful. It's a lot bigger than the Browning presentation series lockbacks, and the wood gets thicker toward the back, with the knife going from 14/32 to 19/32 . Sorry, I can't post any photos, but you can go to the website:
http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/s...1_-1_10001_95834?cmCat=CROSSSELL&cmid=PP_P1_1
It's not a mcusta m1, damascus/quince, but it will do for now.

This site has corrupted me.

To satisfy my curiousity, I ordered some stuff from Ragnar that just got to me today. Mora #'s 740, 760 and 780 and (carbon) Opinel's #6 and 8.

Yesterday: Leatherman Wave.
Last couple weeks: Kershaw Storm II from Wal-Mart, and a Victorinox Cadet.
