your most recent purchase

A cheap Balisong from the local fair. It looked nice, so against my better judgement, I bought it. After flipping it for 5 minutes, it fell apart. So I´ve now got a BM Morpho on my shopping list, no more cheap crap.

A D2 Spyderco Para Military and a brown worm grove bone Sowbelly. I've stumbled upon the perfect high tech folder slip joint combo for my purposes!

Emmerson mini comm. After getting it and feeling the f&f and more importantly, the jimping on the thumb ramp, I finally sold a good deal of my benchmades to a friend at university, I didnt want to sell them to him because even though I dont really use them Ive been holding on to them, but if there is one thing benchmade just cant seem to get right its the thumbramp. Kept only the 707s and 710s. Oh well, at least I can pay for school now D: Ill edit after I finish buying books, when I will most likely buy a ritter grip.

CRKT Alaska Bwana. Got it at Beck's Cutlery in Cary, NC for like $20 + tax, quite a steal on quite a nice knife. One of CRKT's better designs, IMHO.

Kershaw Storm II from Walmart (at least it says USA on the blade). This is my first Kershaw and I am impressed. Planning on using it as a heavy duty work knife. I don't normally carry knives of this size, but it's not very heavy at all and the textures are in all the right places. What attracted me most was how slim this knife is. With it being less than half serrated is good too. The knife is an overall great design for $30. I am currently on the look out for another Kershaw. I'm really just looking for knives that can get the s*@# beat out of them at work and keep comming back for more. Recommendations? Could this be the beginning of another knife addiction?

Having fun with the photo editor.

I got this 4 5/8" German Eye SodBuster about a week ago. Hammer Forged Blade from Solingen Germany. It is a Cutting machine and the blade tunes up well on a Butcher Steel. I liked this one so much I ordered a 3 5/8" Case Sodbuster with Chrome Vandium Carbon Steel. Hope to get it Wednesday!!!

My Jeremy Krammes Cricket was waiting for me when I got home from work tonight!! It is silver twill G-10, and the liners & clip are anodfized purple. What a sweet little knife!! I LOVE it.

My Umnumzaan arrives tomorrow!!

Just put in an order for one today, but I won't be seeing it for at least 2 months. Technically, I'll be placing the order tomorrow, when I pay the deposit. I'm getting a Yuna Knives large "Hard 1" knife in a silver twill and blue G-10 combo scale. Pretty excited about that one.

I just bought a William Henry 'Quest' with 3.25" zdp/'wave' damascus blade. I bought it for carry while running. I had an old WH ti-carbon with 154-CM blade and had thought about the 'Quest' for a while, and finally got tired of waiting for something better to come along.

Like any WH, the 'Quest' is incredible, but it weighs 2.1 oz (contrary to the web site's spec of 1.6 oz). Damn, it's big for a WH, but I kind of like that. I also like the tip-up pocket clip.

It bounces around much more than the old knife, which weighed only 1.45 oz. It is not very smooth opening, negating the advantage of tip-up carry. Maybe I will get better with it with practice. I have never been sold on the button lock. All in all I like it and am keeping it, but it seems like 2 steps forward and one backward.

Just got my first SAK, Victorinox Trekker. I have no idea why it took me this long to get one, I really like it. That is one evil little saw!
