Your Most Recent Spyderco Acquisitions

Been thinking about buying some throwing knives for awhile.

Spyderco discontinued & ran out of these large throwers this year & but I found a great deal on EB for them from a dealer who's trying to clear them out. So, I bought 2 sets for less than the original MSRP for 1. ☺️

The leather sheath for the 3 knife set is a great piece of work & IMO is well worth the price that I paid for the set alone.

Now I've gotta put together a knife throwing set up in my backyard.

I ordered one last night.
You won't regret it. I'm actually surprised any are left. The "stormtrooper" models vanished not long after they dropped, leaving just the satin. I can tell you, this REX45 blade is a cardboard cutting machine!!

I have a factory copper handle PM2 with a Rex45 blade and I concur, it's a cutting machine!

I am a fan of M4 and believe that this steel is similar? I have also never owned or handled a Manix so this gives me a good excuse to try new model and new steel!
Will put it in rotation for sure and will go attack some cardboard as well when I receive!

Nothing special or expensive but this Endela has made me pretty happy. I bought it along with a PM2 and can't seem to put down the Endela long enough to carry the PM2 which I know I'm going to love. I think I like it because it was cheap enough that I don't have to be concerned about hurting it which has been an issue with me recently.

My first Sage 5
Rex 121 Burnt Orange FRN
Absolutely love it ! Feels much more solid then I anticipated with FRN but I think the full skeleton liners really stiffened it up . I liked this one so much I also ordered a g10 version for when I dont need a light weight carry for shorts . Drop free and feels great in hand and should be a slicing machine like most if not all Spydies 👍🏻👊🏻

You guys need to stop with all the Rex 121postings! I am so close to pulling the trigger on the lightweight!
Am already purchasing too many spydies this year! (My Rex45 Manix arrived yesterday and I have a Magnacut Salt Native Chief on pre-order).
May wait to see if any price drops occur around thanksgiving if I can hold out that long.

I picked up a Manix2, black g10, s30v yesterday at a knife shop I never knew existed. I am from north central Montana. We don't have knife stores around here. We was in Kalispell at the Goodwill when I noticed a sign, The Blade Room. I went over to check it out. There before my eyes was a big case full of Spyderco's. I have been looking at the Manix2 on the internet for a while so after bugging the clerk checking out 10 or 15 other Spyderco's I got it.
The fit and finish are perfect. It drop shuts. Blade is perfectly centered. Edge is evenly ground and very sharp.
I will be going back soon.

Congratulations ! Yes Spydercos quality control is first class no doubt . You made a great choice with the Manix 2 also 👍🏻👊🏻
Having a knife store near is so nice so you can feel the knife in hand and see it . Almost to convenient lol.
I remember years ago knives ship free was about a mile from my house and I bought my first CRK 21 with Mammoth covers. Next thing I knew I was at the shop 2 or 3 times a week lol. I was almost happy when they moved out of state 😆
