Your newest knife/knives

While you're waiting for a reply I'll jump in w/my 2 cents... picked up a CSAR-T a couple months ago. This is a heavy knife. But in a good over built way. When I spoke with the guys at Buck they said it was a "must not fail knife" that was generating good sales to US Troops overseas.

The knife is extremely robust with a thick blade of fine ATS-34. Three layers of stainless steel form the frame (one of which is the liner lock), grippy Rocky Mtn G10 scales, and the 1/4 inch bit driver at the end. IMHO this has to be one of the toughest folders on the market. I think it gets overlooked by too many folks, especially at the execellent price point at which it sells. Also comes with a great sheath. Again, my 2 cents.

Thanks for the excellent input! I've been watching a couple on Ebay going for about $99. I think I'm going to make the jump!

Make sure you get the generation 2 model that was produced after about mid April, 2010. The date is on the end of the box. I had a gen 1 knife which had a lock up so tight that it took two thumbs to unlock. Talked w/a vp at Buck, said the lock bar angle was changed. Buck sent sent me a new gen 2 model as a replacement. A+ now. Edit: added a link w/my pics.

My first Hinderer XM-18 came yesterday. Wow! What a piece of work. This thing is amazing just like everything I've read about it. It's a brand new 3.5" non-flipper with orange g-10. I actually have another on the way with the translucent green scale that will probably become my user since it has already been used some. Here's a few pics:

Congrats on your new XM-18's man! They're awesome knives as you're already discovering.

What about the one with the translucent green scale? Flipper or non-flipper?

The translucent green is the flipper; another 3.5" one. I'm hoping to score a 3" in the flipper and non-flipper too. I need to exhibit some self control though.

I got a benchmade 890 torrent two days ago.great knife, but I'm experiencing difficulties with the liner lock.
