Your ONE favorite TRADITIONAL of ALL time - GAW

Thanks for the chance Mike, I've been on a Chambriard kick for a while but this one sticks around, which means it is a keeper...to me at least ;)

Love this thread, Mike! Thanks for the GAW - very generous of you.

Mine is a humble Case-XX Pocket Worn Copperlock in red jigged bone (born 5/11/1998), and it's very special to me for two reasons: (1) my dad left it to me when he passed away last year, and (2) it got me re-visiting the traditionals (and since then, I've started a nice little collection of GEC's):

Thanks, Dad!

I "love" her, because of the perfekt workmanship and the extreme low riding blades. Only 3 3/16 Inch closed, fits into every pocket!

And... thanks for the opportunity :)

Great idea and very generous GAW. My favorite knife defines me. Simple. It is a classic with a certain simplicity that cannot be beat. It is certainly the least expensive I own, and yet, I keep coming back to use it day after day. It might not be pretty, but it works hard and hasn't met anything it couldn't handle.

Thanks for the chance.

Thanks for the chance at a beautiful knife, Mike. I'm new here, been lurking for a while. My favorite is a Schrade Old Timer #940T. Dan

Hmmmmmm, that a tough one, I have so many knives I just got, I'm a little torn  But if I had to choose it would be my Camillius Cub Scout knife. Been with me since I was in the cub scouts minus the few times I lost it, but I found it again.

Great idea for a thread and GAW, nice to see what everyone's favorite is.
For me its this one.
Thanks for the chance!

I got my favorite from YOU! Single bladed, clip-point, GEC #15 Huckleberry Boy's knife. Sees the most pocket time, period.

I love the Norfolk pattern so much that I ended up buying three different versions. Nice, slim single spring, beautiful profile and one of each of my favourite blades. Of the three, the ebony takes the cake.

Thanks for the chance!

I just had this conversation with my sister the other night because she is interested in getting my brother-in-law a nice "new" knife. I showed her my favorite patterns, brands, etc. in my collection... But when it came down to it, I told her that my ultimate favorite knife on a daily basis was the GEC 15 because it serves every darn purpose I need at work, at home, and in the woods... if I use it wisely and do not over use or abuse it. My favorite knife is my 15 in ebony bought new when the pattern first hit the market. It's been with me everywhere from the oceans of the Atlantic riding shotgun in my board shorts (by mistake), to the alter on my wedding day in the pocket of my tux, and the top of the Appalachians sitting snug in my pack. I wish I had a pic for everybody but currently my best knife is getting a new pen blade put on at GEC because of a whittling accident that took place around a campfire that included too many beers. If she makes it back to me in time, I will definitely post some pics as it is the one and only knife that I can say I have truly bonded with in life.

EDIT: Man, oh man! There are some beautiful knives in this thread. It's been a pleasure to browse all the eye-candy.

My favorite is the #72 Scout. Thanks for the chance and good luck to all!

Don't have a pic handy--but my all time favorite is my GEC Missouri trapper; its a Northfield with Cocobolo and serial #13 (which is one of the reasons I love it so dearly). Thanks for the opportunity!
