Your opinion on Lanyard Beads..

I don't like lanyards on my folders, but I love them, complete with beads, on my flashlights and other pocket accsesories:

And I also love the work from Schmuckatelli.

I took my Eclipse Sharp (Ben Tan) tritium 81 Support bead off that Tatanka and now it's gone. My cat was being an asshole again, although my part was in leaving it where Dr. Bob could find it.



Went to ebay and ordered 2 stainless tritium lanterns in red and white. Those will go on my set of CTS BD1 CS Rajah 2.

No bead on it, but the lanyard really helps to grab my blades out of my pocket when I'm seated, or if my hands are slick. Depends on the finish too. A metal bead would make a Sebbie look old fast.

I use short fobs on my folders for the following reasons:

- to assist grabbing while seated or with deep carry clips

- bright colors make some more visible when dropped

- tucked in the pocket, they can help reduce the chance of a knife being pushed out of the pocket. I really only do this with my TiSpine. To avoid scratching, I have no bead on its fob.

- they add a little personalization
