I like the slow pace of kayak camping.

Pic reminded me of carrying a 7000ci pack on 2 night trips, and taking stuff like a folding camp stool just because there was plenty of room. Weight matters a lot more nowadays!
Thanks, guys.

I try to get out hiking as much as possible. In the winter I play a lot of disc golf. It's lots of fun and a one of those excuses where you get to play outside for 5 hours on the weekend when the temp is well below zero.

Actually the easel was quite light, just bulky
My new easel I had to design myself

The folding stool is not an option, there is no way to draw without sitting at an easel.

The main weight is paper!
It is suprisingly heavy...

Well, I wish I had a talent like that!

Crazy. We don't know "below zero" around here.
I read about disc golf awhile back after seeing this...just think how tactically correct you could be:D

Outside of the usual hiking, camping, bushcraft type stuff, I also enjoy trail running quite a bit (actually more than 90% of the time when I'm on a trail I'm running instead of hiking). I bike commute a lot, on a hardtail Raleigh bike. The last couple of winters I've really enjoyed ice skating, and I went downhill skiing this past winter for the first time.

I tend to stay away from the more gear-intensive sports because they cost money and you end up with all that gear laying around!

I really like the simplicity of running, though. It feels really primal and sometimes when I'm grooving along I feel a pretty direct link to the naked ancestors. And you don't need any gear at all (though shorts keep me from getting arrested, shoes keep the skin on my feet, and a hat is nice sometimes in the cold weather)

I'm the naked guy.

(This is after a 10K in 10 degree F weather this past winter. It's a personal tradition to race in as little clothing as possible, for most winter runs I dress a bit more sensibly)
